The doctors knocked on the door. Wanting to talk to Jeremiah

"I'll be back," Jeremiah told her and stepped out into the hallway. "Yes?" He asked the doctors.
"You know the annual match ceremony is coming up will you be paired off." He said. "I just don't want you getting too close to her."
Jeremiah narrowed his eyes slightly and nodded. "Yessir, I know that."
"Ok. I'm not telling you that to make you upset or anything. I just don't want anyone getting hurt." He said.
"I know, I understand completely." Jeremiah nodded.
"Ok." He said and walked away.
Jeremiah walked back into the room and smiled at her, "ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah what was that all about?" She asked,
"Just a reminder is all," Jeremiah smiled and reached for her hand.
She nodded her head. "Is it anything I should know?" She asked curious. She smiled a bit.
Jeremiah shook his head. "Not at the moment, no." He smiled at her as he led her out of the dome.
"Positive," Jeremiah nodded. "Just about an upcoming holiday is all."
"Oh will get to participate or am I too young?" She asked.
"Everyone gets to participate," Jeremiah told her as they got back his home.
"Anything I can get you?" He asked her as he shut the door behind them.
She shook her head no. She saw a black box. "What's that?" She asked pointing to the tv.
"A television," Jeremiah watched her with amusement. "You watch shows on it."
"I never saw one before." She pushed a button on. She sat on the couch watching the news.
"Their fun," he sat down in an armchair by the couch. "Some strange things are on sometimes though."
She nods her head. They were talking about the up coming match event. She watched it. Her faced pale. This was the holiday he talking about.
Jeremiah watched her reaction. "The doctor doesn't want me to get to attached to you," he told her as he watched the television.
She nodded her head. "Why would you do that?" She said. She hide her feelings.
He shrugged. "I don't know, honestly."
"Yeah." She said. That hurt even more. "I think I'm ready to go out on my own."
"What if I won't let you go?" Jeremiah asked her in a bit of a teasing way.
"Then I would find away out." She simply said.
"What if," Jeremiah racked his brain for a moment. "I made you stay?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I would find a way out. I just want to go to my house," she said.
Jeremiah nodded. "Okay," he offered her his hand. "I'll take you there."
"No it's fine I can find my way there easily." She whispered
"You sure?" Jeremiah asked her an eyebrow raised.
"Yeah I'm sure." She gave him a big warm smile. "Thank you for being kind to me."' She said.
"You're welcome," Jeremiah smiled back. "If you ever need help you know where to find me."
"Yeah I do." She smiled and went out the door. She found her house. When she got there. She was hurt. She tried to hold back the tears. She locked her doors. She curled into a ball and let them come out. She was being played with. And he didn't care at all.
Jeremiah watched her go from the window and went to sit back in front of the television.
He was cruel and mean. She didn't like at all.
He flicked the channel to some show about dinosaurs and stretched out in the arm chair.
Eventually the show board Jeremiah and he flicked the television off and got ready for bed.
She was hurt. She cried herself to sleep.
