You must read this book. That is final. No arguments.

Himika Chakraborty I think the entire series is wonderfully funny. The first book and the last one are my favourites.I'd say I like the Olympians series better than Heroes of Olympus because Percy's first person narration is way more humorous.

Matt It was alright, but it's definitely not as amazing as all of the hype would have you believe. It's on a lower reading level and the premise is sort of a rip-off of Harry Potter, but there's definitely some interesting character development going on and a few decent action sequences. It's not a BAD book, but it's definitely not GREAT.

Rosine Stevens i heard it wasnt as good as the film? is that true????? i want to read it but is it worth it???

Matt It's definitely better than the movie. That movie was a travesty.

Sidrath yeah, the book is way better than the movie.

Saskya The movie was terrible!!! It didn't follow the book at all really. But hey... at least it wasn't as bad as Eragon.

That's true. You'd have to try really hard to make a worse movie adaptation than Eragon. I wouldn't mind if they tried again and actually made a good movie of it though.

Rosine Stevens ok, ill put ot on my book list, its my next book to read, thanks

Madelyn Rose I have read this book and I liked it. Anyone who hasn't read the book should give it a try...

Hope Ann The movie and book are so different! I love the book, but the movie was awful. I didn't feel like the movie story even made sense.

it is absolutely worth it. The movie was NOTHING compared to the book. The first book isn't my favorite out of the series but I love it. The movie has almost nothing to do with the book. The rest of the series is AMAZING and you should seriously consider giving it a read.

Matt If you do go ahead and read this series, I'd pass on the Heroes of Olympus follow up series. That one kind of stinks.

I have, its amazing. READ IT.

Kishore Ragav Ganesh Kumar The book is fricking awesome! A must read. But the movie is totally different ( as everyone else said). Also, like all movies made from books, the movie omits a lot of stuff. The book is definitely better.

THIS BOOK BOOK IS AMAZING READ IT NO EXCUSES

Saskya DO NOT PASS THE HEROS OF OLYMPUS!!!!! Read those ones too. I heard that he is going to combine all three series ( heros of olympus, red pyramid, and percy jackson) all into one whole series. It is just what I heard but...you never know.

Maeve Maher I have read all of the PJO and HOO, and I just have to say that they are the best books ever!
