I changed my mind and started 50 Great Myths of Popular Psychology: Shattering Widespread Misconceptions about Human Behavior. I'm not in the mood for something heavy and dramatic, and this one I can easily put aside when the toppler starts. I just hope I will finish it before the end of February.

I did really enjoy NOS4A2, it's the first book I've read by Joe Hill. It reminded me a lot of some of the Stephen King books I read when I was younger. Think I might try Heart-Shaped Box next, sounds interesting.

I have finally started on my book for this challenge. I should be able to finish it before the toppler starts.

I'm reading 1/2986. It is a dystopian book that takes place after some horrible disaster that reduced the world's population to 1/2986 (or for those like me that stink at fractions, .0335%) of what it was before.

I read The Hundred-Year Flood. Our region has had 2 hundred year floods in the last 8 years, so I thought this might be an interesting read. It was less about the flood and more about a young man searching for who he is in the world. Not a great read, not bad either.

I have a scoring question. Two, actually.

My book has 4 authors, but I assume that for last-name-points I only take the last name of the first author?

The book's actual text (the part that you read) is 252 pages, but because it's a science book it has a whole load of references at the end, as well as an index. Page numbers are continued, and the last page is 332. GR also says 332. Which of the two should I take for scoring?

Use the first author listed for scoring, and use GR's listed pages for the issue that you are reading. :)

I finished my book, 1/2986. It was the first book in a series that takes place after a great disaster that significantly reduced the earth's population. The book was just okay. The story would go from interesting and things were happening, to boring scientific details. Even though I found parts of the book and its premise to be interesting, I doubt I will continue on with the series.

Oh my gosh...I just finished The 5th Witch and look at the names in the book "Miska Vedma let out a scream and flailed her arms. The mask that Annie was wearing was the face of a Rusalka, a Russian water witch who could trap her victims behind any shiny surface—a pool, a window, or a mirror.

I picked up two books for this challenge
The Man in 3B is a clever, fun mystery. The main character is an incredibly hot man who moves into a close knit apartment building. The ladies go wild over him - with explicit and funny fantasies.
A good book - I recommend it.

On Highway 61: Music, Race, and the Evolution of Cultural Freedom was fascinating, very dense, a cultural history that covers Thoreau, Twain, African-American spirituals, blues, jazz, folk and finishes with Bob Dylan. I gave it 5 stars

I don't think I am getting 11/22/63 finished. I still have 180some pages to go. My husband is leaving tomorrow for Albany, I have been getting him ready, cleaning the house (So I can actually have some uninterrupted me time.... Until the kids get home) and taking care of the kids. This is the second (3 minute) breather I have had since 7am!
