Hmm. I'm not saying this for all mods and especially for Emma, and they can correct me if I'm wrong here, but the point is: this community is non-profitable, and we are all volunteers. We're offering our help by ourselves and doing everything for free, and we need to keep it like this. For anything beyond this GR group it would be okay and even necessarily, but not here.
At the same time I totally understand your point - work should be paid for.

Agnes Szalkowska | 385 comments Well if I remember correctly Emma ask for artist who want help with the logo. If some people don't want to do this you simply, don't. But the group is our group yes Emma is a lead moderate but still is our group.

Hermione♡EmmaWatson | 31 comments Emma, but where we can send our creative, that you will see? There we can't send. In Twitter - you will not see. What we must to do???

Hey, Hermione! You can upload your artwork here, if Twitter isn't working for you. :) Just go to the Photos section and there they go. :)

Hi, Maria! You mean you uploaded it to Twitter? Can you post the link so that we can check everything is alright?
However, since you are here already, I would suggest uploading your proposal here as well. It's easy peasy, just follow Emma's instructions at the beginning of the page. :)

message 58: by Maria (new)

Maria | 20 comments just a question , it has to be a computer made doodle or it can be a drawing ?

Julieta (julietamg) | 20 comments I'm enjoying this, everyone here is soooo talented! I do agree with Kodak and Ash, this group feels like family (a huuuuge one xD) and the design/artwork we made for it is our contribution to this amazing cause. It is our way to say 'thank you' to Emma for getting us together, and our way to make people notice feminism ROCKS! ;)

Ps: Thanks for taking the negativity down!

Well done, its very good. A clever idea to have the word "feminism" written on each book in a different language.

message 65: by Erin (new)

Erin Floto I put mine up in photos and on Twitter. Here is the link :)

This one is for the masthead:

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) *throws computer across room* It's always nice when a computer glitches out on you halfway through making artwork and deciding not to save anything you were working on -.- yay for having to start over from scratch and meticulously try to recreate what you just did...

Simon Kuhn | 223 comments Sh!t, I'm sorry for language xD, I forgot about this... How could I? If I find the time this week, I'll better get on it - Although its hard to compete with all these talented artists -

aaaww I feel for you :-(
Especially if your lost artwork was as creative as your username!
Epic.

message 78: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) Its a really old computer, like 2011 old and just stroked out and froze up and deleted EVERYTHING, including all the pictures I'd saved and all the books I was writing (thank goodness my friend encouraged me to post them on Goodreads or I'd be more devastated) everything but the bare minimum of what normally is on a computer. Its like for some reason it froze and then wiped itself for no reason :/

message 79: by Elena (new)

Elena (helen2u) you guys are so HILARIOUS, i love you

Whaaaaat. That's terrible, Kikki. :( Aw. Last summer I lost the latest draft of a novel that I have been trying to write for years and that was kind of finally shaping up nicely. I don't even know what the hell happened, but I'll have to rewrite again. I cried and shouted so much that day. :( Sorry to hear that.

message 81: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) I'm just glad I uploaded what I have for my novels onto Goodreads, at least they're safe. I'll be putting them on Google Drive soon to ensure I always have access and won't risk losing them again :/

I'll probably try and make something again but I doubt it'll be as good :/

message 82: by Marc (new)

Marc | 43 comments Awesome how talented all you guys are. So many good pieces of art I really am impressed.

For Kikki
Kikki. If you can't handle me at my Strider, then you sure as Helms Deep don't deserve my Aragorn wrote: "Its a really old computer, like 2011 old and just stroked out and froze up and deleted EVERYTHING, "

Can you tell us what exact programm you are using because sometimes you find files of your saved work in the installation folder and from their you are able to repair or "re-create" your files to get it to run again even though they are damaged, if you haven´t try that already!

Greets X

message 83: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) Well I had saved it to paintbrush after using an online image editing website to change coloration of something I was using, but like I said it completely wiped everything on my hard drive :/ I tried to salvage them but its all gone :/

message 84: by Agnes Szalkowska (new)

Agnes Szalkowska | 385 comments Kikki time to buy me computer or restore new system .

message 85: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) I've been wanting to get a new computer for a long time but they're just too expensive :/

message 86: by Agnes Szalkowska (new)

Agnes Szalkowska | 385 comments What computer you got kikki?

message 87: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) Its an old hand me down 2011 Acer that I got from a friend who got it from their parents so its been very heavily used. I did what I could to try and get the old files back, including googling how to restore it but nothing's worked :/

message 88: by Agnes Szalkowska (new)

Agnes Szalkowska | 385 comments A that explain everything. You have lots of shit files on your hard drive. You must restore your whole system and then he will be working fine. Plus installed some antivirus program.

message 89: by Kikki (new)

Kikki (kikki-not-kiki) I probably do have a lot of bum files on it, in all honesty I just need a new computer in general but I can't afford it, they're just too expensive :/

richmondo Jammy wrote: "''Feminism is for everyone'' a brief mockup version here what do u guys think ? https://www.goodreads.com/photo/group..."
Hi mate, sorry but this looks very kitschy. I mean it's too much of it. My first impression was the fact that I couldn't even read the words in bubble, it looks kind of aggressive. It doesn't connect with the theme or tone of this bookclub.

This is my opinion and if you would like to do this kind of style, try to simplify things. Hope this helps, nothing against you :)

If you're a student there are discounts. It's just something to look for if you eligible. I remember when I first downloaded Photoshop I found that finding the student option was a little convoluted.
