Angie | 225 comments Are your books meant to be read in order Roger? They do sound good and I'd like to try them out as I really like action adventure novels:o) They are such a bargain as well:)

Roger Cave | 12 comments Angie

There are threads that run between the books, but they do not necessarily need to be read in order. If you're going to sample, then why not try Mongoose Variation, it's a little cheaper and shorter, so it should give an overview of what my writing is like.

Whatever you chose, I hope you enjoy, and let me know how you get on.

Angie | 225 comments Her Roger I've just looked at your books again and it recommend to read fried fox first, as they only cost less than £1.80 I was able to buy them both:D I love it so much when I get such good bargain s with books:):):) I'll be looking forward to reading through these books but they've just been added to my tbr books up near the top though so no worries:-)

Roger Cave | 12 comments Excellent

I hope you enjoy. The two short stories will give a bit of an overview, but Mongoose Variation will give a better view of the novels themselves with it being a little longer.

Roger Cave | 12 comments Alec Fincham is his Governments man of last resort, and these days he seems to be always busy. As professional soldier in the Special Boat Service (similar to a US Navy SEAL), he’s a highly trained killer. At heart he is a soldier, honourable and proud, but in modern times, his skills are needed by M.I.6. when there is no one else to turn to.

Fincham and his small team have to fight many a battle through the entire series of the books, which see him travel the globe. The adventures are set in the US, Sicily, Rome, Egypt, Australia, Singapore, Bahrain, Afghanistan and Iraq amongst many others.

Sicilian Defence
White King
Zugzwang
Octopus Knight
Medusa Defence
Deep Blue
Grand Prix Variation
Queen's Knight
Snake Variation
Monticelli Trap
Torre Attack
Mongoose Variation

For £\$1.00 they are full-length novels and may be your cup of tea. Why not try and sample and see if you like what you read.

And don’t forget to some and see me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Roger-...

Roger Cave | 12 comments Before the release of book 14, Accelerated Dragon, why don't you take the chance to take in some of Alec Fincham's earlier adventures.

Roger Cave | 12 comments Alec Fincham is seconded to MI6 to investigate, and terminate, any actions which may not be in the best interests of his country.

He travels the world, often getting himself, and his small team from the Special Boat Service, in hot water.

Ultimately, he has to place himself in harm's way to get the job done, and once he starts a mission, he has to see it through, no matter what.

Roger Cave | 12 comments The first book in the Alec Fincham Series.
The Americans want out of Iraq; to withdraw all their troops and return home. However, for some of the neighboring countries, this leaves an unstable and unchecked regime in close proximity - How do you get the American War Machine to stay put, and possibly deal with your other enemies in the process?
And here's the new cover for The Barcza Gambit.
Keep an eye out for all the new covers in the coming days!

The names behind the Alec Fincham novels are all related to chess. They will be in relation to plays, moves, pieces, etc.
The pieces/plays form part of the story, and as a re-launch, all the books will have new covers, which more accurately represent the stories told within.
All the books follow the operations of Commander Alec Fincham. He works for MI6, sometimes alone, sometimes as part of a team from the Special Boat Service - All of the books are action filled military, or espionage, based thrillers.
