Team Hydrangea - Chat
Hey everyone! I'm just letting you know that I'm on the fun team because I'm starting school this month so I don't know how many books I'm going to read. I've also never participated in a team challenge that needed strategy so... I'm not sure how that works!
Hey guys:) We need to decide if we're gonna allocate specific descriptions to people, or just kind of wing this challenge and fill the descriptions as we read books that fit. What do you think?
I think the best bet for us getting points is having everybody only do one category. For example it would be a waste to do 4 people read "White on the cover" because that won't help us complete any sections. Does anyone have any favorites they for sure want to start off with? I can keep track of what we need to read to get points and who's reading what if no one else wants to. I personally want to read #21 *Cake or food on the cover so I dibs that one :)
Hey peeps! I think I'm going to just go solo on this challenge now. I'm starting school this month so I don't think I am going to have the time to strategically decide what I read. I've messaged Sarah so hopefully she be able to put someone else in here quickly.
For us to keep track :) Part 1 - The Bride and Groom

2. a dress on the cover
3. a tiara or veil on the cover

10. A man in a suit on the cover
Part 2 - The Ceremony
11. a venue for a wedding
12. ring(s) on the cover,
13. flowers on the cover,
14. Camera or photograph on the cover,
15. a car or transport on the cover
16. a cover or title portraying your perfect wedding weather,
17. Book with a man on the cover (best man)
18. Book with a woman or girl on the cover (bridesmaid)
19. "or forever hold your peace" - Titles with Quiet, Silent, Whisper in the title
20. 'Mr' or 'Mrs' in the title

I don't mind reading anything. This is just about broadening my horizons and challenging myself, so I'm okay with whatever category I have to read.
Alright, so if Rachel's out, and everybody else is in (hopefully the people who haven't yet checked in with us will soon- Gillian, Julia, Mona, where are you guys?) we have 7 people and a minimum of 37 books to be read (If we are to complete this challenge)All of us, I think are fine however we go, so let's try to complete one part at a time, so we get the extra points for completing a section.
Let's reserve descriptions for ourselves now (Like Hannah can do #21 *Cake or food on the cover), so we know what to read. (It's fine if someone else completes it first)
Hey guys, I think we should make a spreadsheet on google docs (I can make it) and then we can sign up for what categories we want to participate in.
I just made one here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...You guys can add the books you guys are planning on reading
I plan on reading these in feb:
so I can do 1, 2, 17, 18

Also, Tayla- I just realised, we were supposed to read Golden Sun on the 22nd. Did you read it? Lol I completely forgot.
Okay so I was planning on reading Daughter of Smoke & Bone so that can be 7, and A Dance with Dragons so that can be 28, and many more which I haven't planned out, yet.
Hi team. Not done this before so need a bit of time to read challenge rules. Anything I should focus on first?
Hi awesome people!Let's do this! :D
I'm not good at planning my reads, so I'll just find whatever books I need to fit the categories :) Do you want me to just go ahead and "reserve" some spots that I want? The google doc is an excelent idea! :)
hey guys thabks for using the spreadsheet! btw it's open so you guys can add anything you want to it! but don't forget to color code!
I didn't find anything about the colors, so maybe you could add that? I thought maybe red was for Buddy Reads, but wasn't sure :)
Hi, I just joined! :) One of the books I just loaned from library is Red Queen. I think that would work for tiara, right? Even if it does have blood on it, lol.

Finally finished 'Winter' - my mistake to start it on the cross-over period! Just started reading 'The Art of Being Normal' so hope I can get stuff moving. Am I right in thinking we post to the team thread reviews section for it to count?
