Everyone grieves in their own way and there is no set time in which it is accomplished. Please take as much time as you need and know we are here for you whenever you need to vent or just to have someone to listen with no reply. We have bonded as a family here in this little group, and we will be here waiting to welcome you back when you are ready to return. May God's peace and comfort envelop your very soul and may you know He is with you always.
My prayers are with you.
Linda Manthey
Thank you all for your comforting and encouraging words. I love being part of this community so much. I hope you all have a peaceful and blessed weekend.
I lost the sweetest Brother-in-law you could ever ask for today. He was married to my oldest Sister Sandra who died of cancer more than 5 years ago. His name was John , he sent us a Christmas card this year and still signed it Sandra & John, I know he is now happy to be with her. Hugs Lola
So sorry for your losses Paula and Lola. I wish there was something that I could do or say that could ease the pain or help you in some way. Just know that we are here, in any way you need us. We are praying for you and your families and hoping for peace and healing. Take care we are here for you.Love and hugs,
Jina and the girls
Dear Jina,Thank you for your sweet words of comfort. John I think has been waiting for this to happen for many years. Since Sandra died his health had gone down hill. He was almost totally blind because of diabetes among lots of other things , just not taking care of himself and having a broken heart. They found him sitting at the table with a cup of coffee, still siting up. He and Sandra were high school sweethearts and married over 50 years. He is with her now and can see again! I will miss him , I was looking forward to seeing him when we go to Texas ,not this spring but next.
Hugs Lola

It is so wonderful test you all kept in touch after your sisters death. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow, Lola - I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, but I can see that you have found joy in it - what an abiding love they must have had. Blessings to you and your family.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. It's been hard to keep up with all of the messages I've received from friends all over the world, but it has been so uplifting to be surrounded by people who care and who have experienced this particular kind of pain. There have been times when I've felt like Alice down the rabbit hole - and worst of all, I haven't been able to read -- I just can't get absorbed in it. I'm sure that will pass.
In the meantime, thanks to everyone here for telling me about the relaxation of adult coloring. I've an app on my iPad and whenever it gets to be too much, I lose myself in coloring, playing with themes and things that are absorbing, but don't require so much "thinking" - you're right, it triggers creativity, and that is such a comfort.
You ladies ROCK. And for those of you who haven't tried coloring -- do it. It's such a stress-reliever. The app I have is called Adult Coloring Book - and I have another called Colorify. The apps are free with basic colors, but of course they sell you additional colors within the app. It was totally worth it for the hours of simple pleasure I've had since mom passed away. I also have my paper book and pencils, which I may try later today. But I hope to be able to read. I'm ready for Mark!
Hugs to everyone.

Thinking of you often, Paula. Hang in there.
And on the subject of coloring...I'm working on developing an Eternity Springs coloring book. I think it'd be a great companion to the series...

A coloring book sounds like a wonderful idea. I will be one of the first ones in line for it. Thank you, Emily
Have a blessed day.
Peace be with you,
Linda Manthey
Dear Paula,You continue to be in my prayers.
I pray you are gaining strength with each new day.
I also pray for your daughter, as I am sure she is feeling the loss very deeply as well.
Peace be with you my friend,
Love and hugs,
Linda Manthey
Thanks Emily .If Linda is first in line for the coloring book I will be second! I downloaded a couple of free elephant coloring pages , they are really fun, I like using card stock . Wolf wants me to frame all my pages and start a "Lola's " second Childhood wall!

Thank you, Sandra and John were my couple to look up to when I was growing up. Like watching a romance novel evolve, they were about 10 years older than I am. I am just glad they are together again.
How are you? Better I hope. Coloring has become my partner with listening to my books on tape.
Love and Hugs Lola

Dear Emily,
That is a spectacular idea!!! My Sarah Faith and I have been sketching some stores that would be in Eternity Springs just for fun. Sarah finds me some clip art examples of cakes for the bakery and different fonts for signs. Weve had a blast. I just ordered a wooden kit to build a miniture store from Hobby Builders supply catalog. Heathers 19th birthday is coming up the 18th of February. She loves legos and building things and when we get this "store", Heather can decorate and redecorate to her hearts content from flooring and wallpaper to window displays and signs. It will be great therapy for her and since we read Eternity Springs books aloud to Heather as we are reading she can plan and design her store. When Sarah gets back from her friends house (I let her go spend the night and today with one of her besties named Chyandre' or Chy pronounced Shy, she needed a break away from the worry. She and Heather have always been like twins and so when Heather is ill, Sarah doesnt rest and watches Heather like a hawk just waiting.. which isnt healthy so I sent her to Chys) I will ask where she has put our sketches. Maybe I will post a picture of one for you if you want. Thanks for your kind thoughts. I will be posting an update about Heather in a few minutes. Things are looking up in some ways.
With love,
Jina
You ladies are special.Paula, and Lola keeping you both in my prayers. Knowing that the your loved ones are with GOD and healed helps.
Jina, you have had a rough month. Keeping you and your girls in my prayers.
Remember this, GOD is with you. I always go to the Footprints in the sand poem when I am overwhelmed.

That will be neat Emily. Hopefully it works out

Oh Melinda,
Wolf knows about second and third childhoods ,a motorcycle, and now ATV ,really he is a kid at heart. He was serious he thinks it would be a nice decoration for me to frame them. He even provided the frames , all his awards and certificates he had framed at work, now that he is retired they are just in a box. I think I will paint them all rainbow colors.
Thanks for the prayers you send my way! Hugs Lola

That would be fantastic, Emily! What a wonderful idea. Just the thought of it made today brighter - coloring has been a perfect way to relax and "let go" in the past week, and to be able to bring ES to life in a new way is really exciting - it brings out the kid in me.

Thanks to everyone who has left comments and sent me messages. They have strengthened me more than I can begin to express. Navigating this path has been enlightening, to say the least. I'm very aware of what I'm feeling in a way that I've never been before. I plan to write about it, if only in my journal.
Today is the first day I've read anything since mom passed away - and I'm grateful for the escape (and the return of the ability to concentrate a bit). I have a review to write which will most certainly be a test of my ability to put thoughts into words.
I hope you are all having a good, healthy, restful weekend and look forward to your updates. When I finish this book, I'll be ready for Mark - and am so looking forward to that.

I need to take a few days to let the shock settle and do whatever comes next, so please continue to post and share your stories so that I can enjoy them when I check in. Thanks for your patience. We will still plan to start book 2 February 1st.
Take care and God bless each of you and your families.
