19hinesc | 3 comments I would recommend this book to many people if they like a story about people getting through hard times. The main character Tania is a very strong character who gets through many hard times. She had to get through her beloved grandparents, along with many of her friends, being brutally murdered by invading Nazis. She vowed to break the Nazis like sticks. This proves her strong personality. This book is really helpful if your trying to get through hard times because it shows that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Hayley Abt | 3 comments I would recommend the book Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. This book is about a senior boy named Greg who's mom forces him to hang out with Rachel a girl with Leukemia. The book is not a sappy love story, or even an inspirational book about living. The book is more of a comedy and narration of the awkward teen, Greg Gaines. All of the characters have something about them that is very odd and random. These character provide a lighthearted mood that helps the reader laugh. This is a book I would recommend if you are looking for humor.

Drew Gudenburr | 2 comments I would recommend this story to people. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in fiction. The book has a lot going on it which I think is good because it keeps the reader actively reading the book. I also liked how the book tied the generations back between the time of World War 2, and modern day. What interested me a lot was how the book transferred from a story about a bad teenage kid into a whole magical land.

Chelsea Lawrence | 3 comments I recommend the book the Vanishing Seasons because it was about how this one teenager Maggie who moved from a city into a small town and her two neighbors Pauline and Liam. A killer is on the loose and kidnapping and killing teenage girls so Pauline's mom sends away Pauline to live with her aunt in Milwaukee. And when Pauline is away Maggie and Liam start dating but when the killer is found and Pauline comes back everything changes with Maggie's life. My favorite character in this book is Maggie because she is really funny and doesn't care what people say about her. The only thing that I didn't like about this book was the ending.

message 6: by Shelbig (new)

Shelbig | 3 comments I would recommend the series of unfortunate events because it is a very intriguing series. I'm not into reading huge books and these are fairly shorts books throughout the series which I like. Also each book ends with a cliff hanger so it makes you want to keep reading and reading.

Alyssa Morrow | 3 comments I would recommend the book Take Your Best Shot because it is a motivating and inspiring book. This book is about a boy who takes an adventure halfway around the world and decides that he wants to raise money to help the people in Africa. Austin uses free throws to raise money and help thousands of kids all around the world.

message 8: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Miller | 3 comments I would recommend this book because there are always questions the reader is trying to find the answer to. When the main character Grey realizes he did not get taken on his 18th birthday like every other boy in his community, he leaves to seek answers. These answers are eventually found but only to be followed by new questions. Grey is forced to make difficult decisions and leave what seems to be the better place behind many times. This is a book I would recommend to someone looking for action and suspense.

Angie Ruggieri | 2 comments I would recommend the book Everyday because it is a "once you pick it up, you can't put it down" kind of book. It is very interesting to watch how A goes through every single day as a new person. I would recommend this book to a person who likes mystery, romance, and a little bit of suspense in there books. It has a lot of components which makes it very versatile for a lot of different types of reader out there. It is so cool to see A learn and adapt to his new surroundings, and people who are learning about who they are will really relate to this book. I would definitely give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

It is interesting to see how the characters handle the situations they are given and they all have a different way of dealing with it. I enjoyed the book and I think others would too.

Eve Cunningham | 3 comments I would recommend the book Me, Earl and the Dying Girl because it is a very easy and enjoyable book to read. Greg is a senior at Benson High School. His mother pushes him to rebuild an old friendship with a recently diagnosed girl named Rachel. As the story progresses Greg is able to keep Rachel company and make her laugh even through this rough time. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a book that will make them laugh and truly entertain them.

Hana K. Perkins (HanaPerkins) | 3 comments I do not recommend the book Me, Earl and the Dying Girl. I thought the book would be funny and interesting because I saw the movie preview, and thought the book would be good. But turns out I didn't find much interest in it.

message 16: by Jake (new)

Jake Petrarca | 3 comments I would recommend this book to certain people. It depends on if they like basketball or not. Personally I did not like this book because it starts really boring and I like to get right into the action. Although, I do enjoy basketball, and reading about good players. The book True Legend overall really is not a great book, but the part where they get into the playing the game is very interesting.

message 17: by Jared (new)

Jared Golias (PopeGolias) | 3 comments I would recommend Roadside Picnic to any fan of Hard Scifi or Soviet Scifi, its about humanities struggle with greed, loss, and the unknown in the modern day. The amount of detail in it can also be astonishing as the Strugatsky brothers describe every bit of viscera and every crack in the wall. The Zone also provides a backdrop of mystery as no one knows what came and why they left the artifacts, terrible mutants rule the region and anomalies are widespread and deadly. Redrick is a somber and layered character who is believable on many levels, often struggling with the world around him. Numerous Stalkers in the zone are often cruel and unusual in their own regards and gladly dive feet first into hell on earth in order to obtain artifacts that might kill them the moment they lay their hands on the.

TheDarkKnight_3501 | 3 comments I would recommend An Absolute True Dairy of a Part-time Indian., It is a Funny book had a very good story about a Native American boy who lives on a Native American Reservation. It had some funny parts and some deep dark parts and some sad but mostly funny.

Tia (tiamussitsch) | 2 comments I would definitely recommend the book I am Number Four to other students. It is a great book with a great amount of action. The main character is a boy that does not know his real name and has to constantly change his identity to hide from the people chasing him. Number's one, two, and three have been killed, and he is number four so he is always running. This book is a page-turner, and there are may plot twists throughout it. I really liked this book because of that.

message 20: by Dominic (new)

Dominic Campagna | 3 comments I would recommend Darius and Twig for any reader who is interested in an underdog story. It's also a book that gets more interesting with every page, which kept me reading. It is about two best friends who face the difficulty of Harlem life gangs, alcohol, street fights, and gun violence trying to beat the odds. It's also a different underdog story than most, by not only having one underdog, but two. Leaving the reader to find out if the best friends will make it together or will one leave the other behind.

message 21: by Dru (new)

Dru | 2 comments I would recommend the book Double Helix to any reader who is interested in mystery and adventure. It is exciting to read what the main character Eli will learn about him self with each page. There are many exciting characters that are introduced such as friends who turn out to be family without even knowing. Also, there is a good driving action of Eli's other passing from Huntington's to discover his family.

message 22: by Allie (new)

Allie | 3 comments I would recommend the book City of Bones to anyone interested in fantasy. This book creates a new magical world that coexists with our own. Although, if you do not care for fictional situations that could never happen in real life, then this is not the series for you. In addition, City of Bones is a great series book as it leaves you with a few lasting problems and questions. There is plenty of action and an overall plot with many subplots. I found this book very enjoyable and am glad to have started the series.

message 23: by Payton (new)

Payton Fremer | 3 comments I would recommend The Lovely Bones for anyone who enjoys reading intense and suspensful stories. The book creates a whole new way to look at a murder mystery by having it in the point of view of the victim who is now in heavan. There are plot twists and confusing parts of the story that the readers need to keep reading to find out. I could not put the book down because all I wanted to know was how the story would end. I strongly recommend people to read this because I feel a majority of people would be as interested in it as I was.

message 24: by Marissa (new)

Marissa Edwards | 3 comments I would recommend Percy Jackson and The Great Olympian because it is a action-packed. this book also creates mystery and suspense. I never thought that I would be interested this book because I usually read realistic fiction. There are many surprises later in the book. The plot twists totally caught me offguard. that is why I would recommend Percy Jackson the great Olympian. Ps I am sorry this is late, I did it but it didn't post.

message 25: by J (new)

J Rad.E | 3 comments I would recommend this book because it is a great story that shows another side tp the nazi party and not just the killing machine side. It is also a great interpretation of someone who is on the run from someone who they were fighting for when Eric posses as a Russian soldier. That is why i would recommend this book

message 26: by Brian (new)

Brian | 3 comments I would recommend this book, because it is a great mystery book, but it is also a sci-fi. If you like the idea of time travel, then this book is perfect for you. Its also a thriller because there is a lot of action in the past present and future. This was a great book and I hope you have an opportunity to read it sometime.

message 27: by Joe (new)

Joe Pisarcik | 2 comments I would not recommend the book The House of the Scorpion to most people. This book was very hard for me to understand and comprehend. Its a story of a boy who is actually a clone and he finds that out throughout the novel. The book held my attention at the beginning, but towards the end the author, I feel, added too many characters. This was hard for me to follow. This would be an appropriate book for a higher level reader.
