C | 52 comments For me one of them would definitely have to be the actual maze scene for the last task in the Triwizard Tournament in the GOF. It would've been cool to see the Sphinx and the boggarts and blast-ended skrewts. But instead all we got was a lame scene with the actors running all over the place and just breathing heavy.

Claudia | 4 comments I would have loved to see Dobby with the hats Hermione knitted (Order of the phoenix).
The magical creatures Hagrid went over in class. Creatures generally, like giants and the houselves. The development of Kreacher's character wasn't properly reflected in the films.

T ✩ Handmaiden Of Amidala (tarria) | 54 comments There's a LOT but the main ones for me are the important sideplots that are brought up randomly in the films then dropped and never explained properly. Give us a quick briefing of the Marauders and their identities. Show us Harry's insecurities about his parents he gained from the Pensieve in OotP, and Sirius and Lupin reassuring him afterwards rather than just never bringing it up again straight after showing James as a horrible person for the rest of the series. Drop in those scenes with Harry & Ginny in OotP to give some sorely needed backbone to their relationship, and more Dobby, Fleur and Bill! Dobby's death was unearned because he just randomly appears out of nowhere for DH1, and good gracious Bill and Fleur was so undeveloped...

But my absolute favourite book scene is at the end of GOF when Harry cries as Mrs Weasley hugs him, wondering if this is what it feels like to be embraced by a mother and remembers the horrific scenes he's just experienced. That for me was when the series grew up.

Ági (milkywayconqueror) | 20 comments Gaunts and Tom Riddle memories. HBP is my favourite book so I was really disappointed - still I am - when I saw they hadn't been included in the film. And the orphanage memory was too short.
Anyway, I was confused when I left the cinema back then.

Yes this!! The fourth movie was terrible, if only for constantly adding its own stuff ( the dragon race/chase??) and leaving out such important moments

Rachel (rachelsbookspace) Give me the Deathday party!!!!!

message 58: by Franziska (new)

Franziska | 1 comments There is a lot of important ones that would have helped the plot along but I would have loved a proper exploration of Harrys and Ginnys relationship in book six and specifically the scene where they talk about Harrys alleged tattoo. Just makes me love Ginny even more every time i read it!

bookworm.chronicles88 | 12 comments I wish there was more about Kreacher's past with Regulus and the locket.

Padfoot (taylor's version) Meghan wrote: "Definitely the Harry and Voldemort's big talk/ Voldemort's proper death scene at the very end, where Harry explains how Voldemort screwed up"
yep i agree also the scene where dudley and harry excange words

AT Demeter | 9 comments When Dobby hugged Harry Potter out of gratitude after being set free in movie #2…
When Harry told Voldemort he’d give him one last chance for remorse toward the end of the last movie…

i agree

mars | 15 comments definitely peeves was missing! aswell as Charlie and I missed S.P.E.W it was an important part I think and it wasn't even mentioned in the movies

T ✩ Handmaiden Of Amidala (tarria) | 54 comments I've been reading Half-Blood Prince and gosh I can't believe they really left out all those scenes with Morfin and Merope and teenage Voldy. They don't explain the jinx thing with the DADA teachers either. Also they could've at least shown a newspaper clipping or something in Goblet Of Fire movie with Frank Bryce's arrest for murder of the Riddle family. Otherwise it's just this random old man getting killed by Voldy.

Padfoot (taylor's version) yeah i agree

I love this one! "I told them you have a pigmy puff, but I didn't say where." She's so sharp, it's amazing!!

message 67: by Mary-Therese (new)

Mary-Therese P. The scene where Harry sees Snapes memories and sees his parents in OotP, ( I know it was there, but I want more marurders!)

I also wished they had kept Peeves, and had more Weasley twins

message 68: by Mary-Therese (new)

Mary-Therese P. @Sophie, TRUE! that scene WAS hilarious! XD

message 69: by A (new)

A | 28 comments I NEED Peeves. And more Weasley twins

message 70: by A (new)

A | 28 comments They also need it when the hogwarts students sing in the goblet of fire.

Padfoot (taylor's version) yep u can find it on youtube tho

T ✩ Handmaiden Of Amidala (tarria) | 54 comments Yep it was a deleted scene. I can't believe they cut that and kept the awful Beauxbatons scene where it focuses on the underage girls' behinds... like what? Was this normal in 2005???

Padfoot (taylor's version) idk but honestley i haven't thought about it like that

message 75: by Rachael (new)

Rachael (dogoodwithbooks) | 4 comments The Valentine's Day scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, no doubt in my mind. It honestly was my favorite part about the book and I was so annoyed that it wasn't in the film when I first watched it. Underrated gem.

message 76: by cambria (new)

cambria lynn | 17 comments kreacher’s tale!! we don’t even learn anything about regulus besides his name in the movies. it also gives kreacher his redemption.

i also wish they would’ve included dumbledore’s funeral,as well as ginny and harry’s WHOLE RELATIONSHIP done differently

message 100: by Lilly (new)

Lilly Potter | 19 comments My favourite scene would have to be when Ron starts to have an argument with Snape for what he said to Hermione when he called her a know it all. He said something like. you asked a question why ask a question if you don’t want to know the answer. Love it 😂😂
