Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I walked down the hall looking in the class rooms as I did. Wondering what one to go join.. Not that I wanted to be here anyways. But might as well make the most of it I guess... walking into the first open door I came to walking in. Only to see someone yelling at the teacher. Then realize that the guy from the meeting with the princable was also standing there looking like he wanted to run back out of the room. I couldn't say I didn't blame him, seeing as I was wondering if I could before they saw me.

Joseph Ballenger Vance- Several footsteps echoed behind me. I turned to notice the new girl decided to give this class a shot too. Only issue was...I had no idea what class either of us walked into.

"Hey you two," the teacher said pointing at Celeste and I, "go find a seat. He'll be done ranting soon."

I blinked, looked back at Celeste, and just walked towards the nearest seat available in the front row.

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I feel my eyes widen just a bit hearing that the teacher just wanted us to sit down and wasn't going to do anything to stop the other kid from yelling his head off at her. This couldn't be school possibly. I thought quickly looking around for an open seat. Then walking over and quickly sitting down. Not wanting to cause any trouble and get sent to the office.

message 54: by Joseph (last edited Apr 06, 2015 02:44PM) (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- The teacher sat on her desk and crossed her legs as the boy continued the rant. The moment the boy stopped, she clapped her hands. "Bravo Hunter. You actually spoke up for yourself for once. How did that feel? Exciting? Refreshing?"

Looking at the boy, I didn't think he could turn any redder. He then replied, "No! This does not change the fact you gave the entire class an F! How is that fair?"

My eyes widened. What type of test did they take that the entire class failed?

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- 'Whole crap.... what kind of tests does this school give?!' I think wondering how in the world every kid in this class failed. How was that even possible? I mean. Sure. Some kids that didn't study or pay addition would fail. But for everyone to fail?! That was just crazy talk. I think wishing I knew what kind of test they'd just took.

message 56: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- The teacher stood up from her desk. she smiled as she scanned the room. "So, I do take it you all would like to know why you failed? Well, Mr. Hunter here was brave enough to speak up for you all so I'll let you in on a secret. The test was designed that failure was the only option."

A chill ran down my spine. Balling my fist at the thought that the teacher would do something like that. Looking at all the other students, I can imagine they probably thought the same. But, wait. The rulebook. Is this a test to see if someone figures out the loophole here?

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- Oh crap.. didn't the Principle say something about this being in the rule book? Or something along those lines? Or was she just imagination that part? Pulling out her rule book and flipping to the index part of it starting to look for it. Bearly hearing the Teacher telling the rest of the kids it had been a set up.

message 58: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- I looked towards Celeste. Guess she had the same idea I did. But why not the other students? I take it they must be all freshmen too. Either that or they truly never dealt with this before. I scanned the rulebook and came across one interesting section. Rules of testing huh? This would be risky to bring up but what the heck. I raised my hand.

The teacher looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "Yes, newbie?"

I placed my hand down. "I say you're wrong. I wager 50% of my grade to prove it." Well, I'm allowed to challenge a teacher in a game of her choosing. But since I grew up on plenty of games, I could use the extra credit.

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste - I whip my head up when I hear Vance challenge the teacher by risking 50% of his grade. Was he crazy?! We'd just gotten here and were just learning the rules and already he wanted to challenge a Teacher. Plus it would be a game of her choosing. Thinking as I found the right page and scanned it that this couldn't go well. At the very best he'd fail the class at the very worse he'd fail the semester...

message 60: by Joseph (last edited Apr 09, 2015 07:38PM) (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- The teacher burst in laughter at the notion. "Wow! Please tell me I didn't hear what I just thought I heard." She wiped the tears from her eyes. "Well, you do know that you could very well fail this class, right?"

I nodded my head. "Well aware. But, it's not like I'm going to lose."

The teacher shook her head in response. "It's your funeral. But, I'll tell you what. You beat me, everyone passes this semester. You fail, you have to take this class twice regardless." She then walked up to me, arms folded. "And to make it even better, you can pick one classmate to assist you. So, who will it be?"

I didn't even have to look. Already had the perfect partner in mind as I pointed to her. "I choose Celeste."

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I felt my mouth drop open just a bit at that. Out of everyone in this class he'd picked me. Why?? I was just as new here as he was, and didn't know what to expect. Finally getting over the shock, of him naming me to help him. Nodding, "Okay... so what's the challenge?"

message 62: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- The teacher smiled. "Since you two are new here, I'll make it a tad easy on you. But first, students, rip up your tests." The students all looked at each other but compiled. I never heard so much shredded paper in my life. "Good. Now, Vance and Celeste. Take a guess at what my first and last name is."

I bit my lip. Clever something. She didn't want us to peak at the other students tests to find out. "Are there any other rules to this?"

"Oh yes," she replied. She walked to us and handed us each three cards. I could see that Celeste had the exact same ones I did. One of a skull and bones, one of a penny, a one of a field of grass. "Those are your only clues."

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I bite my lip trying to come up with a way to figure this out..... it was impossible. It just couldn't be done. And these cards that she gave us where no help at all.
Sharing a look with Vance then ask looking over to the teacher whatever her name was. "Can we go out in the hall to disguise this?" Hopping she'd let us knowing she didn't want us to figure it out. And also she didn't want the other kids to help us.

message 64: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- The teacher went to sit back at her desk and crossed her legs on the desk. "There's no need for that. You and Vance stay where you are. The rest of the class is dismissed!"

As the students got up from their desks, the ones that passed me narrowed their eyes to me. I swear I heard one of them say "She's going too easy on them." Seconds later, the entire room was empty with the exception of Me, Celeste, and the teacher.

The teacher put up her hand, her palm facing towards us. "You have 5 minutes."

And with that, I sat in the seat next to Celeste. I gave a small laugh while scratching my head. "So, any thoughts?"

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I sigh. Still looking at the three cards. "Well... I think it would be too much to ask for her name to be Bones Penny Field..... so it has to be something that isn't obese but is also linked to these pictures somehow.." I say still studying the cards trying to come up with something.

message 66: by Joseph (last edited Apr 11, 2015 03:19PM) (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- I looked the three cards over. Thinking about this was really giving me a headache. Releasing a sigh, I closed my eyes. Just then, a childhood memory came to mind. I opened my eyes before pointing to my skull and bones card. "This is usually used to emphasize poison in cartoons. For pirates, it's their symbol. What if? What if this meant danger? I bet Danger maybe part of her last name."

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I nod, "okay....So, that leaves only 2 more cards." Looking at the other two cards. "The Penny could mean that her first name is Penny... any idea on the grass one?"

message 68: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- I put down my penny and skull card on the desk. With the grass card in my hand, this was the easiest to decipher. I placed the coin card furthest to the left, the skull card in the middle and the grass card to the right. "This is simply a field. You see how this is just a long patch of grass? So, if Penny is the first name, I think it's Penny Dangerfield."

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I look at the cards one more time thinking it all over. Before saying "That makes the most sense... seeing as anything else wouldn't make sense." Glancing up at the clock. We only had 2 minutes left. Asking "So, are we going to go with Penny Dangerfield?"

message 70: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- I nodded my head. "This seems like the most logical answer." The teacher didn't seem to really care. She had her face in a Vogue magazine. Who really read those anyway? I shook my head. "In any case, let's go up to her together and finish this." And with that, I stood from my desk.

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I stand up pushing in the chair I'd been sitting in. "Okay..." Seeing her reading one of those cheesy magazines that you always see in stores by the check out, shaking my head. Honesty, was she like 15? Not that she looked like it, but no one read those expect 15 year old girls.

message 72: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger We stood before the teacher. "We have the answer," I said. She may have heard me but couldn't tell by how the magazine didn't budge an inch. I waited, but couldn't help tapping my fingers against the desk. Her silence was killing me.

The teacher then lowered her magazine and looked at us both. "Do you now? So, what's my name?"

"Penny Dangerfield," I said with the proudest grin on my face. However, when she snickered and tried to hold back her laughter I started to wonder what she meant by it.

She placed the magazine down and sighed. "Oh geez. You sure? Did you even check the back of the cards?"

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- Oh no!! We hadn't even thought to do that! Grabbing one of the cards and quickly flipping it over. Seeing that there was a clue on the back. Although it was hard to read seeing as it was so faded. Groaning. This wasn't going to end well... we only had a minute and a half left to figure this out, with the clues and the pictures. And it had taken us 3 minutes to come up with Penny Dangerfield. How in the world where we going to figure this all out with only so little time left?

message 74: by Joseph (last edited Apr 11, 2015 04:58PM) (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- I looked on the back of the three cards and it was quite faded. Hard to make out what it was. He shook his head. "This isn't even legible to read."

The teacher then stood up and placed her hands on both of our shoulders. "Don't worry, I was just messing. you both passed. But do keep the cards. The faded part can be scratched to reveal a bar code. Show it to your next teacher and they'll explain the rest."

I just stood there and blinked. What is with this school?

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I blink a few times not knowing what to say.. Bar codes?? For what? And what was with the teachers at this school? They sounded just like the kids would. But then again--- the school was called Chance Academy. The name alone was weird enough. So I guess the people here wouldn't be much different.

message 76: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- I looked at Celeste and then at Ms. Dangerfield. "I take it they are accepted with any teacher?"

Ms. Dangerfield placed her magazine within her desk. "Yes. It's a reward system we have in place for all students. You two are actually the first freshmen I've known that would earn them so early. But as I said, the next teacher will enlighten you on the details."

I sighed and scratched my head before going to my desk and grabbing my things.

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I blink a few more times then head back to the desk I'd been sitting at gathering up my cards and putting them in my pocket. While also shouldering my purse. Looking over at Vance, to see what his thoughts were on this. Asking "So..... how do you think the rewards system works? Well besides the bar codes and whatnot.."

message 78: by Joseph (last edited Apr 11, 2015 05:23PM) (new)

Joseph Ballenger Vance- I sighed at the question. So far, it could be just about anything. I mean literally anything. But, it's been fairly tame so far so it couldn't be anything too far fetched. "I wish I had a clear idea. Maybe it's grade related. Possibly extra credit for the next class or something. What do you you think it might be?"

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste- I take a minute to think about it while we start to head out. "I don't have the slightest idea. Hopefully it's grade related. Although--- I have a feeling it's not going to be that." It couldn't be- not with this school at least.

Joseph Ballenger As we walked down the halls, I could hear the faint sounds of a squeaking. Very much like sneakers running along a smooth gym floor. I looked around and noticed a door was open with a slight beige glow. Hm, almost didn't think this place had a gym. I peeked in really quick and turned back to Celeste. "Hey, they have the biggest gym I have ever seen!"

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments Celeste - I walk the short dedicates over and look into the door of he gym. "Oh my gosh! It's huge!" Amazed that how big it actually was. It was amazing. Hopping that at sometime she could take up gym as one of her classes.

message 82: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Ballenger (Sorry for the hiatus. Things got terribly busy and trying to deal with some health issues.)

Vance- I turned to Celeste. "I bet you we could just walk in and join. We did so with our first class." The idea didn't seem too out of reach. Besides, seeing everything that's going on in here, the basketball games, obstacle courses, and martial arts training, I'd say we could have some fun.

Cassie 'The Thinker Go Go Go Go' Mis. Roben Goodfellow'\Isabelle Lightwood (cassiecrow) | 13291 comments ((Oh no problem, I know how it is. We've been busy too.))

Celeste- "You think, you don't think they assassin this one do you?" I asked him hopping he was right and we could just walk in and join. Eying the obstacle course and the martial arts training areas
