Hello, My Name Is ...
Hi, my name is Terri and I probably know a lot of you from Shelfari and Leafmarks and some other groups here on Goodreads. But I didn't know about this group until I saw BC talk about it in another group recently. Since LM is going out, I'm in fear of losing all of you & I can't have that!I am a retired (3 yrs) Kindergarten teacher & now work part-time at the County Treasurer's office here in my home town. I am married (40 years in June!) and have one grown son. I love to read almost anything and love all the suggestions you all give. Thanks for having me! :)

Hello, my name is Buna! I really like to read books and I opened this page to read during my summer vocations. I can't be a lot actived this month, because I am really bussy. I have wited a book (on my hometown language) with my friend and I really like to publish that book. So, maybe I do not write right, because I speak another language. This is me and I hope we will have fun here reading books!
Hi y'all, my name is Linda. I've finally become active here from Shelfai & see some of my old friends & am gradually making new ones. I'm a retired nurse & live in a small community in SW Alabama, we moved here 2 years ago. I'm thrilled to be back in the country where life is less hectic. I've been an avid reader most of my life. As a child I loved the Bookmoble & would spend hours on it touching pages, smelling, looking, reading, trying to make my choice. My husband & I live with our 3 dogs, Gus, Cooper & Layla. Cooper & Layla are rescues. We have 2 daughters & 4 grands. I love SEC football, nature, walks in the woods & flowers.

Hi, Linda, it's so nice to "meet" you. I envy your retirement. Our daughter has just started nursing school part-time (as an older student, she's been working as admin for a neurosurgeon for several years). She's finding it exciting but exhausting.

Nursing school is exhausting but so worth it. It's a tough but rewarding career. I have some wonderful memories!

Hi, I'm Kim. Also a Shelfari transplant. LOL! I currently live in San Antonio and am a divorced mom of 2 teenagers. Thanks for inviting me over, BC.
Hi Kim.....I was just thinking about Shelfari today. I told someone it was like my "first love" and no one can ever measure up to it as the years go by. But life must go on and I know Shelfari would want me to be happy. There are a lot of fun groups and nice people on GR but if Shelfari ever called me again I would drop everything.

Hi everyone! I'm Sandye, recently turned 43, living in Pennsylvania, happily engaged, not so happily waiting for a double lung transplant, no kids, no pets. My favorite authors include; Debbie Macomber, Janet Evanovich, and most recently A.L. Jambor

Thank you for the recommendation. I was a member on Postcrossing for just under 2 years I think, or close to it. It was quite enjoyable at first. Towards the end though I kept getting addresses in Taiwan and China and the postcards kept expiring while I was waiting for them to be registered by the recipients. I couldn't afford it anymore so decided to terminate my account. You're right though, for most people is quite a fun site to be a part of.

Hi my name is Eileen. I love reading, writing, cats and chocolates with vanilla cream centers. I am never not in the middle of a book, usually more than one. My 91 year-old mom lives with me. She is amazing! Two cats allow us to live with them - a Russian Blue named Smokey and a calico Maine Coon named Autumn Amelia. Our service to them isn't always up to their standards, but we do our best.
I facilitate a creative writers workshop at my home in central Massachusetts. I've lived in Massachusetts my entire life, but Vermont is my favorite place. Both my parents are from Vermont & many of my relatives live there so it's my home away from home.
Historical fiction is my favorite genre, but I'll read any well-written book, fiction or non-fiction. I just plain LOVE books!

Hello! My name is Michelle. This is my first time joining a group here on Goodreads, although I've been keeping track of the books I've read for several years. I am married and the stepmother of three girls (all grown up now), and one son (13). Other than reading, I love scrapbooking (both digital and traditional), guinea pigs, board games, traveling, and spending time with extended family.
My favorite genres are historical fiction and children't literature of all kinds. I collect Little Golden Books because they are such a classic symbol of childhood and where the love of reading begins.
