Hello, My Name Is ...

I am a retired (3 yrs) Kindergarten teacher & now work part-time at the County Treasurer's office here in my home town. I am married (40 years in June!) and have one grown son. I love to read almost anything and love all the suggestions you all give. Thanks for having me! :)

Hello, my name is Buna! I really like to read books and I opened this page to read during my summer vocations. I can't be a lot actived this month, because I am really bussy. I have wited a book (on my hometown language) with my friend and I really like to publish that book. So, maybe I do not write right, because I speak another language. This is me and I hope we will have fun here reading books!

Hi Linda. Welcome to the group:)

Thank you Carol!

Hi Connie nice to meet you! Nursing school is exhausting but so worth it. It's a tough but rewarding career. I have some wonderful memories!

Thank you Diane! I'm looking forward to it!

Oh my, if you every wrote a book, I'd read it! ;)

Welcome to the group, Ella. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We have a couple of new challenges starting today that you might enjoy.

My favorite book genres include; crime, suspense/thriller, mysteries, comedies, romance, psychological thrillers.
My favorite authors include; Debbie Macomber, Janet Evanovich, and most recently A.L. Jambor
Other interests: pen pal letter writing, cross stitching on a rare occasion, watching TV & movies, coloring, and I love to share real spirit (ghost) stories with others

Forgive me if i'm promoting, but you should try a website called postcrossing. it's fun, i do that.

Thank you for the warm welcome!

Thank you for the recommendation. I was a member on Postcrossing for just under 2 years I think, or close to it. It was quite enjoyable at first. Towards the end though I kept getting addresses in Taiwan and China and the postcards kept expiring while I was waiting for them to be registered by the recipients. I couldn't afford it anymore so decided to terminate my account. You're right though, for most people is quite a fun site to be a part of.

Welcome Dlyn! I'm new here too! We can learn our way around together! Everyone's been very nice and helpful so far!
Hi, my name is Laura and so far am loving the group!
I am 17 and am from Hong Kong (English is my first language though) and am an A-Level Literature student (expect to see some classics pop up here and there). I really love psychological thrillers and crime novels ❤️
We don’t really have book clubs in Hong Kong so I am really excited to be in the group!

Welcome, Laura.
I've been to Hong Kong six times, but the last time was in 1995 ... before the transfer from British rule ... and before you were born.
We're glad to have you joining us. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

My 91 year-old mom lives with me. She is amazing! Two cats allow us to live with them - a Russian Blue named Smokey and a calico Maine Coon named Autumn Amelia. Our service to them isn't always up to their standards, but we do our best.
I facilitate a creative writers workshop at my home in central Massachusetts. I've lived in Massachusetts my entire life, but Vermont is my favorite place. Both my parents are from Vermont & many of my relatives live there so it's my home away from home.
Historical fiction is my favorite genre, but I'll read any well-written book, fiction or non-fiction. I just plain LOVE books!
Welcome to the group, Eileen. Hope you have fun here. You're just in time to help us nominate our "theme" for April. I'll be setting up the nomination thread shortly.

I've never heard of Shelfari. I feel like I missed something extraordinary.

I am married and the stepmother of three girls (all grown up now), and one son (13). Other than reading, I love scrapbooking (both digital and traditional), guinea pigs, board games, traveling, and spending time with extended family.
My favorite genres are historical fiction and children't literature of all kinds. I collect Little Golden Books because they are such a classic symbol of childhood and where the love of reading begins.

Welcome, Michelle and Kay. We hope you enjoy reading with us. We're happy you've decided to join in the fun .. so Grab a book and play Booktivity!

I am an early years educator in a baby room, the best job in the world, and I study part-time at college to make my life a bit more complicated than I need it to be. So, reading has been my first passion and it is currently my perfect procrastination tool.
I love playing on book titles and themes, chatting about books, starting reading challenges that I never finish, and publishing pics of my books.
Nice to meet you all!
How nice to meet you, too, Anna. Sounds like you have a busy life, and books can definitely be a great procrastination relaxation tool! Have fun. We're happy you're joining us.

Hello, Nora ... Welcome to our little group (and Goodreads, in general). Hope you have fun here.
