A east TX man working at a funeral home, formed a close friendship with an elderly widow with money. He killed her and kept her in the freezer. He's from my home town. Jack black played him in a movie

OK, I'll ask one as nobody else seems to be jumping in. Which killer was given immunity in Texas for killings he committed in Michigan, then not charged with any murders at all despite the fact that he had confessed to quite a few?

TBH I don't know if either of these ladies started with their husbands, I just know they both poisoned a lot of people. Back then it was easy to get away with. Downside when you finally got caught you got hanged.
