Good book about the dysfunctional, yet functional life of David Sedaris. Some stories are a little long winded and dry but overall a interesting read with a few of laugh out loud parts.

To be honest Rita from what I have read so far it isn't a great read.The author seems to reprinting countless newspaper articles of the time that repeat the same information over and over,so far there seems very little beyond that.

I just finished it Rita,it didn't improve at all it was an absolute chore to finish.I couldn't recommend it to anybody unfortunately,on the positive side I've possibly saved you some money!

I haven't read it but I would consider it a crapshoot. Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders is one of the best TC stories of all time, but by the very same authors we got Till Death Us Do Part: A True Murder Mystery, and it was terrible. When he's good, he's very very good, and when he is bad he is horrid....

I am currently reading A Light In Dark Places by Jennifer Graves and Emily Clawson. Jennifer Graves is the sister of Josh Powell whose wife went missing and the story shows Jennifer's struggle in coming to terms with the truth.

I had never heard of Barney until the cover caught my eye. Being a lover of animal stories the title made me want to read it. What an amazing dog and dog owner. Television reporter Dick Wolfsie opens his heart and soul, walking you through his life and adventures with Barney. Barney made such an impact with the TV views and a few non TV views. Highly recommend.

If you loved those old 70's shows All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Good Times, Maude, One Day At A Time and others, this was the guy that created and wrote the scripts for all of those wonderful shows. The only parts of this book that dragged for me were when he talked about shows I had never heard of, but that was not very often. I did not want this book to end. What I loved about this book is that Lear does not simply seem to be name-dropping or bragging. He genuinely seems to be grateful for everything he has experienced in his life.

I started re-reading Steve Almond's wonderful Candyfreak: A Journey through the Chocolate Underbelly of America. I want you to know that even though I read it at the diner, I went without dessert.

Just finished Masquerade: A True Story of Seduction, Compulsion, and Murder by Lowell Cauffiel. I give it 4.5 stars.

Wow. What a story! I sure got a good feel for what life is like for drug addicts living off of prostitution and criminal activity. Depressing ! Horrible. And Dr. Al? He was one weird person. Of course, he certainly didn't deserve to die like that. I feel so sorry for his wife.

The writing was excellent. This was my first book by Cauffiel. Think I will see what else he has written. :)

But first, I going to read Conviction: The Untold Story of Putting Jodi Arias Behind Bars by Juan Martinez.

I was trying to figure out how just below it says Post which you said meant 'save'? I am still trying to post a review in TC in 2016 where Belleza said it should be. Where do I find the HTML code? I probably type it all the time but don't realize it. Also, beside the word Post in a little box below me it says in brackets preview so I know I clicked on there too. I'm scared to try it again.
