Is language learning software a book or not?

First of all, apologies if this should be in Book Issues, or is a recent repeat.

I didn't see a definite, glaringly obvious directive in the help topic, so I'm asking for a little guidance. Some learning packages come with booklets or electronic reference, while others dump the user into the pool. The particular series leading to this question, "Talk Now!" by EuroTalk/Topics Entertainment, is often described as falling into the second category.
