Having seen both the movie with Robert Redford and the one with Leonardo DiCaprio, it was interesting to finally read the book. I knew the story well, but the book fleshed it out better and made it richer. Good story, easy read.
Thank you Ridgetop01!You easied my way,I'd surely go for the book first and then the movie.I'm wondering why I haven't yet seen the movie.
I have been looking forward to read the book too!I sure hope it happens some time soon. I try my best to not watch a movie before I read the book it's adapted from :D
Yes,I've being told not to watch the movie first, and this opinion I've read, here and there, many times on internet.Wish you a happy reading,Naura!
Thanks Gaurav :DWell as a book-lover I've been most often than not, disappointed by the book-adapted movies.
I realized that at a young age, when the Harry Potter movies were produced :/
Very True! Even I also developed kinda aversion that I'd not watch the movie until I've read the book from where it has been adapted to grab a hit on "Box-Office".See they have put "The Martian" on screen, based on a book of same name by Andy Weir(also on my TBR).Anyways, thanks :)
Yes. But due to my excessive procrastination, there have been a couple of movies that I've watched before reading the book :POh, thank you for telling me that! :D I did not know The Martian was based off a book. It's so going on my TBR list too :)
You're welcome..I'm not sure for what,exactly....:P
Never mind Naura! Sometimes one don't know what for they are bidding welcome and for what saying thanks. In either case,it's good to seek no reason.Oops! I'm getting little philosophical :p
LOL.I suppose that is true. Life's weird that way. A little philosophical now and then is fine, believe me :P
It's when it gets too much that I flip .....
