I started out this one mainly because the movie was coming out this month. It has everything I like in a dystopian YA book, but I felt that at times I was stalling, mainly through Ben's and Sammy's POV. I don't know why, but I couldn't connect with Ben, so I couldn't care much about him. Cassie's POV, on the other hand, had me reading till late at night. She felt real, because, despite being brave and determined, she was still scared and afraid and it showed, like any normal person, especially a teenage girl, going through her situation. I'm not crazy to pick up the sequel right away, but I'll definitely be reading it a some point this year. I think I'll see the movie first, and go through some other categories before I go back to this series. 4/5 stars.
