We have two suggestions for our winter read

The Silver Witch by Paula Brackston -The Silver Witch

and

In the Heart of the Sea The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick -In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex

Lets take a week to vote and the winner will be announced next Friday. I'm pretty sure I can get Paula to join in and if the NF is chosen I will reach out to the author

Ang from OZ | 1690 comments My vote is for the NF In the Heart of the Sea. I always like to read at least one Non Fiction book a year! And everyone knows how much i like seeing books to film. This film came out late last year in OZ but i put off seeing it till i have read the book.

My vote is for "The Silver Witch." I think it would be great if Paula could join us!

I read "The Winter Witch" some time ago and really enjoyed it, so I guess it's time to travel back to Wales again!

Well it looks like our winter read will be Heart of the Sea because my vote for The Silver Witch would have cancelled it out so we'll read The Silver Witch next maybe in March or April how's that.
I'll be back with details about the read soon!

Ang from OZ | 1690 comments Sounds good Deb, I'd be happy to read both, so The Silver Witch for March/April will be great.

Thanks Ang ;-)
I've got a copy of our read on order from the library and as soon as it comes in I'll take a look separate the chapters for the reading sections and set a date!
