Thank you Connie for choosing the wine country mysteries. I was secretly hoping that was the one you chose.
Jill G. I chose the Bibliophile Series. I mainly chose that series because after reading about them, I want to start the series. I hope it is good.
Helen wrote: "Louise, I'm choosing Josie Brown's Housewife assassins for you, because they sound like a fun read."Thanks Helen, I really enjoyed the first one so can't wait.

We caught the edge of the blizzard in CT but even that meant over a foot of snow! Conditions in other areas are much worse - power outages, flooding, stranded motorists and huge piles of snow.
Not sure what the weather challenges may be for the members we've not yet heard from. I sent a pm to those who have not posted a series for their match. Hopefully everyone is safe and warm. And some of us have shoveling to do. :/

We don't have shoveling, but it is so cold, we cannot go outside. I took the garbage out before and nearly froze to death. Also went to the garage to do some laundry and thought my hubby would have to thaw me out to get me inside with the basket in my hands frozen to it. We live in Central Florida and the temps are below 30! Sorry Northern folks, that's COLD for us!

We got 2 feet of snow (I live in Maryland, outside of DC). Lucky that we did not lose our power. The worst is over. Today is cleanup day! I also might be able to start my February serial books since we're snowed in.
Snow days and cold days are the best days to read all day and drink hot cocoa and watch the snow and cold winds outside! Happy reading!
Hooray for storms heading out to sea! We in Massachusetts only got the northern edge of the storm--about 4-5 inches. Not bad, especially as today is lovely and sunny. Hubby got out of town on his business trip before the storm hit, which is good news and bad news. The good news is that he'll make his meeting in Tokyo in plenty of time. The bad news is that I had the snow clean-up to do.

Sorry it took me so long to choose for you, stupid weather (it cannot make up its mind: cold and sunny or just plain cold and dreary). You gave me a hard choice between books to pick for you..."
Thanks Karen! I have been looking forward to starting this series for a long time now :)
Thanks for the TV recommendation as well, I will definitely look into that!

I've just realised there is another Helen in this group. I have changed my user name to HelennN. Hope that works!

I pick the CeCe Caruso mystery series for you. I have the first couple in my TBR. Let me know what you think.

A Knitting Mystery by Maggie Sefton
[bookcover:Fleece Navidad..."I pick for you Karen! Sorry to take so long, computer died so to speak and since hubby works in IT for a living he insisted on fixing it himself and loading everything back on it. Me I would of just gone and bought a new one! Then last night we had storms come thru here with strong winds and heavy rains that knocked out my electricity. I finally gave up on everything and went to bed. But anywho.....I see that you have three series up that I read, so I'm going to pick for you.........
A Knitting Mystery by Maggie Sefton. I discovered this series early last year, and it's becoming one of my favorites! I do hope you enjoy this pick. Happy Reading!!
Randa wrote: "Jill T.For Jill T. I choose e.j. Cooperman's ghost series. It's a series I'm interested in reading."
Ty Randa, I enjoy this series. Sometimes you have to have a little bit of ghost stories to read and this series is rather good! I would suggest this series.

Jill - When you didn't select a series by the 25th or respond to my pm, I picked a series for Karen in message 73 over a week ago. I thought you might be having weather related problems from the winter storm.

Oh ok no problem...no we had computer problems. Glad she had a series picked for her. I don't have any pm's here in Goodreads....hmmmmmmm will go and see what is going on with that.
Oh, my I am tearing through this challenge. I'm on my third white house chef book and loving every page. Thank you Sue for picking this series.

Cool. It was on my list as well so you were my Guinea pig to see how good it was. Now I plan on seeing what the library has in stock.
Sunday I finished my first Challenge book from the Housekeeper Lucie Serie
, it was so good! I can't wait to read the second one!
Lori wrote: "Oh, my I am tearing through this challenge. I'm on my third white house chef book and loving every page. Thank you Sue for picking this series."Glad to hear that, Lori!
I've read the first book, Murder with a Chaser, and I've liked it as much as the previous book. Nice fast reading. Looking forward to the next one.
Marisa wrote: "Sue, I choose Georgette Heyer for you, a very nice writer. I hope you like it."Finished the first one, and there's only one word to describe it: charming! I can't wait for the library to send me the next one.
I finished my first book for February:Eggsecutive Orders by Julie Hyzy - 2/18/16 ♥♥♥♥
I haven't read this series in a while, and it was just as good as I remembered. Already have the next one ordered from the library. Thanks for the pick, Caroline.
Sue wrote: "Finished the first one, and there's only one word to describe it: charming! I can't wait for the library to send me the next one. "Glad you like it. This is an author I knew through a friend of mine who enjoys the books a lot (there are quite a lot of books translated into Spanish).
I finished my selection for this month: Scrappy Librarian. I would give these 4 stars at most. It was a challenge for me to read all 3 books because they were so long-winded. The first two were race-related issues behind the murders, and were interesting, but not completely compelling. Not sure I would recommend these or not.
I've finished my last book in the selection (and in the series at this moment): Murder Brewed at Home. I've like it but less than the previous one. I think there're too TSTL decisions at this book, and the open plot at the end doesn't fit me well.
I finished my second and last book
, so I'm catching up with the Housekeeper Lucie Serie. It was a really great read and I love the serie. Looking forward for the March Challenge :)
I'm still waiting for my second book for this month from the library:
. Looks like I'll be late, but I still look forward to reading it.
I am very behind in my ereading this month. I finally finished the first book in my challenge, To Catch a Leaf. I started my second serial challenge book Nightshade on Elm Street this morning. I obviously won't finish by the end of the month but I'll be done sometime in March! I am glad to getting some mileage in this series, though.
Finally finished my first February book, The Chocolate Frog Frame-Up, by Joanna Carl. Quite a good cozy mystery. While based in a chocolate shop, there wasn't too much food stuff to spoil the plot, and there was interesting information about vintage boats. However, I picked the murderer halfway through.I've started the next in the series.
I finished Dead to the Last Drop, by Cleo Coyle for my first assignment (I think it might be March, but could be February. I should ask Nell or someone.) The book was okay, but not as good as most of the others in this coffeehouse mystery series. The Village Blend has apparently, out of the blue, opened a satellite coffeehouse in Washington, D.C. It has significant problems so we'll see whether Ms. Coyle continues this or returns to setting her books in Greenwich Village.
Jeanne wrote: "I finished Dead to the Last Drop, by Cleo Coyle for my first assignment (I think it might be March, but could be February. I should ask Nell or someone.) The book was okay, but not as good as most ..."
Jeanne - You're in the March challenge. We picked books in Feb.

What's his name, can't recall at the moment, has been working in DC for a while and has asked what's her name, same problem, to move to DC. I was surprised by the move, but understood why. Not sure where she is going with this either.
I actually got 3 of the White House Chef mysteries done in February. I forgot how much I like Ollie and her adventures and was very happy to see that she gets happiness in one part of her life.
Finished my second HD chocolate shop mystery, by Joanna Carl. I'm enjoying the series, and may look for more of them.
I finally finished the 2nd book for February and loved it. I think this is my favorite of the series so far.Buffalo West Wing by Julie Hyzy - 3/12/16 ♥♥♥♥♥
I FINALLY finished by second book in the serial challenge!
Nightshade on Elm Street I know it's already mid-March but I am typically way behind in my reading this time of year due to 'March Madness' watching and too much college basketball. I've already finished my first March serial challenge book so I should be okay. I'm happy to have completed more 2 books in this series. Four more to go (plus the new release in April)!

Thanks Linda! I want to start this serie for weeks and this is a perfect opportunity!
