Finished... will reserve comments until people have read it. Got a head start.

Almost done. Goody.

Done. Was really interesting in places and lagged in others.
I stopped in the middle and read another book then picked it back up.
I liked it, but Eden has yet to really endear herself to me. But I still think I am gonna try book 2.
After all, maybe the author is just getting started w this character since she inherited things at the end there.

I kept falling asleep reading it. It never really grabbed my attention in any way. I've had this issue with CP before but I thought it may have been the genre. I guess I just need a story with a little more action. I read this two days ago and I don't even remember how it ended. I moved on.

Lol, I just moved on and it was like that one had no place in my brain anymore...

I remember how it ended. Lots of scuffle .. Then some emotional stuff. Right ?

Pretty much

Natalie Carey (janeefficiency) | 43 comments I have about 100 pages left and hope to knock it out today... I struggled with the setting for a while, it felt like it was taking place in the 30s or something, or even in the late 1800s, but it's modern (early 2000s), and that aspect feels disjointed. Otherwise I'm quite liking it. I do like the creepy atmosphere and the hints at witchcraft and her great-uncle's involvement in that. I hope the rest focuses on that and finding out more about the ghosts that follow her around (her friend's ghost at camp in the beginning was awesome and really unsettled me).

I still have those hundred pages, but as it is I think I'll continue with the trilogy. But if the group wants to do something else, that's cool with me. I'll make some suggestions on that thread too.
