I didn't like the characters much at all. All the characters sounded exactly the same and they had all the same lines of dialogue. All of them answered with "I see" to everything. The author's voice was obvious throughout. I kept hearing the author and not the characters which is never good.
I thought the beginning was lovely. I wish the friendship between Hazel and Jack was explored further because I didnt think Jack had ever been a good friend. I didn't really enjoy the woods part of the story. I guess I don't like fairy tales.
It went by fast and I liked some parts. I think it was good at keeping me entertained. I am having a hard time thinking of things I liked though. The friendship needed development and it was the area I wished it had deleved into deeper. I wanted more of that. Also vague ending yo.
