Rants on the ending

I liked the twist but the end had them traveling to a new place on a train. Like so many other books!! (Divergent, Hunger Games)

I reread the end of the book like 8 times and i still cant believe the twist

The whole book said "Anyone can Betray anyone" and i still was shocked when the betrays happened! ( i was suspicious of Maven cause with that parents how could he turn out so kind and wise?) but still the twists were AMAZING!

Okay, the end completely blindsided me so bad. (Spoilers!) I was absolutely in love with Maven and his character and when he betrayed Mare, I completely lost it. I had to put the book down and mourn the loss of Mare+Maven because I was pulling for them so hard. Though I hated that he had to be the bad guy, it was an amazing twist I didn't see coming at all so I still loved every bit of it!

I know. It was like a punch to the face. I didn't see it coming from a mile away, but more like 10 pages before I was like "that fucker's gonna dun screw EVERYONE over!"

Saw the end coming from about 67 miles away. It was so obvious that Maven was the bad guy. I was shouting at Mare not to be so stupid. Only read up to the end to have my "HA" moment. Won't be continuing series

I liked Kilorn too! I am always a fan of the life long friend type of romances. I was really starting to like Maven but I just knew it was too good to be true and they kept saying don't forget he is his mother's son. Just had a feeling.

I agree with the second part of your comment. It was too good that Maven was so nice considering he has a mother with those kinds of powers. Plus his father was never really his to begin with, he was his brother's first so. I'm still so shocked that he turned out to be so evil thought to be honest. I wasn't expecting it at all!

I'm sorry but I like Cal and I will always be rooting for Cal!

She could, but she doesn't seem to have any feelings towards him. I reckon she sees him more as a brother than someone to end up liking

I never fully trusted Maven. Through the middle of the book I knew something was coming but he was being so sweet I was hoping it wouldn't go the way I thought it would. But it was going way too smoothly.

I knew he was gonna turn, but I didn't think he was gonna turn that bad! That's the part that threw me off!

I finished reading it a few days ago

The ending was so good that I got real angry at the book.
