A very big Hi to all in this groups. Looking forward to have a great time here.

Welcome to Paging All Bookworms!, Amanda. We have a monthly challenge to help us clear the TBR list (or maybe add even MORE books to it ... LOL). We encourage members to post reviews (even two sentences) of books they've read.
Hope you have fun with us.

Welcome to our group, Gary. You're in good company here ... lots of book lovers! We'd love to read some of your reviews.

Welcome, Max. Maybe one of our monthly challenges will ignite the spark for you. Or you might find that another member's review of a book piques your interest.
If you have any questions, ask away.

Also, Dea .. if you want to join our August monthly challenge feel free to include any books you've read this month. And, I never close / lock the challenges, so if you need longer than a month to finish that's perfectly fine.

Welcome, Martha
Yes, this is quite an active group, in fact. Not sure how you are only seeing posts from 2016-2020. How are you accessing the site? What browser are you using?
We have a monthly challenge - You can find January 2023's challenge HERE
We also encourage members to post reviews / ratings of books they've read. The new Review thread is HERE

I studied English (and Politics) at Uni many years ago and my first job outside of Uni was in a bookshop. I ended up managing the store in London and those were the best 5 years of my working life.
Now sadly working in a job that confines me to a desk I rely on my books for escapism more than ever.
I generally try to be open to all genres, and often go through phases of fiction and non-fiction.
Favourite author has to be Steinbeck. Read several of his books and loved every one.
Outside of reading I am happiest when travelling. Have so far been to 30 countries and love going somewhere new whenever I can.
Have also just had my own book published. It’s called “The Devastation of Dunelaw,” and I have added it to Goodreads in case anyone is interested. It’s for anyone from 12 years and above. I wrote it for my middle son during lockdown and it is a good old fashioned fantasy story, full of heart, intrigue and adventure. Hopefully, something for everyone.
Nice to meet you all.
Jon
Welcome to the group, Jonathan.
We encourage members to post reviews of books they have read, and would welcome your input. Doesn't have to be scholarly or professional ... a couple of sentences will suffice.
We also have a monthly challenge just for fun (and it may help us clear the TBR mountains we all seem to have).
