Static question

My book is "flight 29 down"and I just started it. Right now a group of high school kids are taking a trip out to a small island in the ocean. It took them one year of washing cars and having bake sales to afford the money. And during the flight the plane was having trouble flying because there was a huge storm out side. Suddenly the planes engine failed and the plane started dropping. And that was the end of the chapter.
