Please add the 'quotes' feature to the book page so we can add this quote:

A second issue for the same book is that there is no metadata description of it. Here is a redacted quote from the FORWARD of the book if there isn't any other available.

“An alternative subtitle of this volume of “Selections from the Works of Fred L. Soper” might well be “Reports and Discussions on the Eradication of Infectious Diseases in Various Parts of the World, 1924-1967” by Fred Lowe Soper and his associates and collaborators. Dr. Soper conducted effective enterprises of epidemiology and public health. He did this in small villages and in great cities, in countries and states, in islands and continents, in hemispheres of the earth, and in areas of global dimensions. In all his writings, such as those included in this volume, is heard the authentic voice of an original, forceful, courageous, and indomitable man – a scientist, philosopher, administrator, strategist, and humanitarian. This book is composed of reproductions of selected publications on the subject of eradication and related problems. During the period of the indicated 43 years Dr. Soper published 123 “papers.” Of these, 45 were selected for inclusion in this volume. The proposal for the publication of selections from the papers of Dr. Fred L. Soper came from the Indiana University Press in a letter written February 22, 1967.”

Here's the info from the hardcover edition:
Library of Congress Catalog : 78-77804
Standard Book Number: 253-3111295-7
Copyright 1970 Indiana University Press

The hardcover edition I have here has a plain red cover - so it's not really any better visually than the green place-holder cover - in fact less - as the title is printed on the spine, not the front cover.

As always, thanks very much for your help and guidance!
