Local Meet Ups for Book Discussion

Hi all!

I am very excited about this book club! It sounds like the plan is to read the book and discuss it here on the message boards...but I am wondering if anyone is interested in meeting at a coffee shop or something to discuss the book in person?

I am in another Goodreads book club that has in-person meetings to supplement the online discussion (Vaginal Fantasy book club) but there is no one near me, as I am in a rural area. This book club has many more members, so I am hoping I can find someone else in my area who would like to meet for an in-person discussion.

I am in San Luis Obispo, on the central coast of California...if anyone is near me and interested in meeting up to discuss the book, let me know.

If anyone else is interested in meeting in person to discuss the book, this might be a good place to post your location and coordinate a meeting.

I apologize if this has already been brought up, I didn't see another thread about it!

Awesome idea! Would be super fun if people in this club could also share their toughts in real life! The problem: organising such events can be really hard, but we can always try!

I'm from the Netherlands and I saw that there is someone else looking for a meet up (Amsterdam I think?). Maybe we could meet somewhere in the middle? I mean the Netherlands isn't very large, is it now? ;)

Hi there! Also from the Netherlands. Unfortunately I can't read this month's book because of my deadlines. However, I would love to meet up with my fellow Dutch people and discuss different books/have coffee in the future :)

If we would want the whole of the Netherlands meeting up together, Utrecht might be the best centred option (also when it comes to highways and railroads)? (Groningen here...)

I went to my library and suggested a local "Emma Watson Shared Shelf" book Club that would meet in person. I offered to lead the discussion as well as show the discussion threads on a big screen so people can be actively involved with this group as well... They like the idea and are discussing it right now.
