Favorite books/genre: oh my gosh so many. My favorite books have to be a ton of things by Tolkien (although they usually seem boring to me the first time I'm reading them...go figure!) and my overall favorite genre is fantasy. I've also been getting into history/nonfiction lately, which is pretty ironic because I used to hate it!
Anything else: I'm aro/ace. Also I have four dogs, so if there are any other major dog/animal lovers, I'd love to talk :)

Where you are on the ace spectrum: ????, asexual (jokingly referring to myself as 'wtfromantic' until I figure that part out)
Favorite books/genres: SO MUCH OF THE FANTASY. (And also sci-fi and historical fiction--particularly in graphic novel form). Favorite authors are--Sir Terry Pratchett (RIP good sir...), Nnedi Okorafor, NK Jemisin, Noelle Stevenson. Favorite book--The Hogfather
Anything else: I am such a stereotypical asexual that it's not funny sometimes. Also, I get invalidated a lot by...certain people...so if anyone ever needs to vent, I will gladly vent with you.

Also, I'm an MLIS student and a current library assistant--if anyone wants to nerd out about books I am so down for that. Also-also--a huge Transformers fan...so...yeah. Any TF fans out there?

Edit: I can also be found on Tumblr and Facebook with the same group (largely just so I can get updates no matter the platform).

karten | 21 comments Hi everyone! I just signed up here to be a part of this Book Club (I'm already on Tumblr and Fb but well), I hope it's gonna be as great as it seems!

I'm called Karten, I use they/them pronouns. I'm asexual and kind of sex-repulsed (in a weird way).

I love classics, thriller/crime, YA, I can enjoy some fantasy, romance, sci-fi or basically anything. I love to change and discover new things. One if my fav book is definitely Stolen by Lucy Christopher. My fav author of everytime is definitely Victor Hugo (and Guy de Maupassant, love you guys). LOTR may be one of my fav too. I don't really have a list.

And well, I'm French, so sorry for my English which may be bad? I'm a still non-published author. I write different stuff, currently I'm working on a LGBT+ related short story collection.

I'm SO excited for this Ace Book Club even though reading in English is quite long for me ~
