February 2016 Dusty Bookshelf Challenge

For you I pick

I'm a stranger to romance novels so please forgive if I chose poorly."
No worries. It's a very... acquired taste. Thanks for the picks, though. Three Reasons to Wed just sounded so adorable that I had to buy it, and I was really hoping that The Immortal's Redemption would get picked.

Hey Nichole,
I choose 2 book 3's for you so you can advance in your series.

Thanks, Ezi!

And since both of those are chunksters, I'm going to throw in a shorter book in case you want to switch out :)

Thanks! I need to get "Rules for Old Men" off of my TBR, badly. It's been there 'way too long.

That's quite a pair for you, right? ;)
Happy reading!"

Thanks! I've been wanting to read Damn Few since seeing (and loving) Act of Valor, which Rorke is one of the SEALs who participated in making, then learning he'd written a book about his time during the SEALs. TSC is quite good and one I've been wanting to reread. *grabs books and runs off*

How was it with patience ;-)
Luckily I have still another five books to read this month - for some other challanges :-) other than that I don't know if the first one would survive that long ;-)

Elle Chose for me:
oh jeez. getting there just in time i think. sorry i stopped getting notifications for the thread randomly and I totally forgot!!
my picks are either

Both authors I love and I'm way behind in both these series (the first more so than the second)! Let me know how these are :D

Elle, I pick for you

thanks :) cant wait to get stuck in (good omens is my best friends favourite book - it feels like a crime not having read it!!)

Cut off date is a bit confusing but I'm counting cut off as the 25th, so you got in just in time!

Once again, great job everyone, on getting picks done before deadline!

Thanks, Elle! Both will get me current on each series.

I wasn't running the challenge this month, Susan, Ezi was. However, I think that updating your personal post is the one thing that I stress least about, simply because I check off as the comments come in, rather than go back and check individual posts. I use that for last resort double checking. Ezi's methods probably vary though. For me, as long as it gets updated eventually, it's all good.

I gave it 3 Stars. It was find but I didn't think it quite lived up to the hype that I've heard since having it on my TBR list since January 19, 2012.

I finished both

Glad you enjoyed them!

Picked for — Brenda
Picked by — ❤Stephanie
Thanks for the push to read these Stephanie!! I really enjoyed them both! =)
Final Lap, Erin McCarthy – 2/3/16 – ✮✮✮✮✰
Tracker’s End, Chantal Fernando – 2/2/16 – ✮✮✮✮✰

Wow, what a soap opera. This book was really good for the first 70% or so. Four star good, maybe even four and a half. But then it suffered, hard, from the romance novel double kiss of death: excruciating stubbornness and an unbelievably pathetic lack of any good communication whatever. Then it plummeted from "Eh, three and a half stars but I'll round up to four" to "Oh, definitely rounded down" to finally "Three stars period, and I'm probably being generous." Which really sucked, because as I said, the vast majority of it was really good. What really doomed it, though, was the part near the end where (view spoiler) I thought I was going to hurt my eyes, I was rolling them so hard and so often. I kinda want to read more of the miniseries when it comes out (because I liked the writing when the characters weren't being idiots), but I'm kinda afraid after those last few chapters.["br"]>["br"]>

I liked this one as well, but Zarek's book was the best for me

Well written, fast-paced, a truly enjoyable read. A review will come.
Now what? Wait for March's dusty bookshelf? Guess I'll keep reading."
You're always welcome to read the rest of what you listed for your February shelf that wasn't picked and let us know what you thought of it! It's not required, especially if you participate in other challenges, but it might give you more to choose from.

The Scorpio Races was amazing. My first 5 star of 2016!

Bayou Fairy Tale = 2/2 -- 4stars
The Summer Garden (it took me a week to read and a week to write the review ... very un-me behavior.) = 2/8 -- 3.25stars
Neither was particularly great for me but I'm definitely glad they're both off my shelf.

Nope, it's still not up. I keep checking, and nada so far. And I have my list all ready and everything. :(

You ladies are both correct, it's not up yet. Ezi's been pretty busy with Real Life and SS/SSS, and probably hasn't had a chance to get it up. Let me touch base with her, see where she's at on it, and I'll try to get back to you by this evening with an answer.

3 stars!
This was fun, look forward to March's Dusty Bookshelf.

Not a problem, Kathy! She got back to me, said she'd work on getting it up, so watch for it in the next couple of days!

Not my cup of tea, but needed it for a couple other challenges.
