By the sound of it, I'd give up to be honest :-(

I know, as I typed it I did question why I was still bothering to "read" it. I don't read it I've picked up something else and I'm reading that instead.
Aha. Someone read the Captain Cook story. Exactly what happened to him when he went to Hawaii. He arrived at the exact time when the Gods should show up. First time it worked in his favour, second time not so much.I have been known to skip to the end of some really bad books to find out what happens.
It was first published in 1895 so that's probably why it's a bit of a slog. Maybe one day I'll go back to it, maybe...Woke up at 2:20 last night and couldn't get back to sleep so I read Unlucky Dip: K'Barthan Series Prequel, Part 0.5 and started Cthulhu in Wonderland.
I also read a few pages of Paradise Lost, I might dip into it every now and then, didn't read enough of it to make an opinion excepting it being a bit beyond me. I may stop reading for that reason though, it's a bit wasted on me.
Finally finished another book, Cthulhu in Wonderland, I really enjoyed it. It made me think of a light hearted Cornelius Harker
Finished Babe On Board it was okay but I wouldn't recommend it. There was no romance, the first "sex" scene was scarily rape like (she was saying no and he didn't blink an eye), there was a load of stuff about perfume and creating the perfect perfume but no resolution of it all. I feel like it was all a little unfinishedRead The Two Little Ducks after, I have no idea why I downloaded it, such a random little kids book. Good moral to it though, "listen to your mum!"
Didn't read Starfire Angels when the book description talks about there being a "hot guy" you just know whether the book is for you or not (in my case, not). It was another amateurishly written story and it wasn't even a romance, which would explain the term "hot guy".I'm now reading Child of the Ghosts which is actually about magicians, who knew. I'm enjoying it so far.
Finished another one from 2011, Child of the Ghosts! I rather enjoyed it, although there were a few words missing but I would hope the author has updated it in the last 5 years to fix that. Only 60 more to go from the list I had hoped to get through this year (248 total). I was hoping to come across more that were rubbish so I would be getting rid of a lot without having to read them. I've downloaded a few that don't sound too promising in the hopes I can clear them off the list
Looking at your freebies list, I liked You've gone too far this time, Sir!From your unread paid, I'd recommend Sword of Damocles and Imperfect Strangers
Thanks, I'll try those ones next. I picked Out of a Dark Reflection as my next read. I'm already 20% in!
I'm being harsh, I read a chapter of The Case of the Missing Boyfriend and I'm discarding it. There was nothing bad about it but it just didn't pull me in and with the title I'm not overly interested in trying to persevere with it. I had started the book once before and obviously not gotten on with it then either so into the scrap heap it goes.
I think my recollection of my opinion of TCOTMB was that it was good for the first half and boring for the second.
I was going to start The Passage but maybe I should read a book off my list... I was hoping I would throw more of the freebies aside than I have
Goodness, I've downloaded some drivel in my time. Went through a few books with likely (or is that, unlikely) titles and 3 more are in the binned pile.Tuesday's Child (The Autobiography of Heaven and Earth)
Hope Undaunted, A: A Novel: Winds of Change Series, Book 1
Oak Leaves

I know the feeling, although I kind of feel obliged to try some before dismissing them, in case there was a good reason for downloading in the first place!!
Yeah I've opened most of them but I've only had to read a few lines to realise that they aren't for me. I'm getting more ruthless but I don't have all that much time to spend reading these days so I don't want to waste that time reading an okay-ish book. I suppose when I downloaded them I had all the time in the world to read so I would have read a lower quality of writing if I liked the plot (I think that is what I mean)

Updating my to-read list so I can see more clearly what is left.6. The Gates of Babylon (Righteous Series #6)
7. Destroying Angel (Righteous Series #5)
9. Twelve Years a Slave (With the Original Illustrations)
10. Imperfect Strangers
13. Sharing A Fence With The Twilight Zone
14. The Poisoned Pilgrim: A Hangman's Daughter Tale 4 (UK Edition)
16. The Dark
17. Winter of the World (Century Trilogy 2)
18. Ash
19. Night Over Water
20. No Country For Old Men
I've had to teach myself to be harsh, it's only really since having Kathleen that I've been okay with not finishing a book. my reading time is far too precious these days to waste. Plus I'm viewing this as a clear out challenge (of my free books) rather than a reading one which makes it easier. What better way to have a clear out than to just chuck a load away.
