Review: This series is the perfect book hangover cure. They read fast, they are funny and contain all the things I love in books.
From the three I've read so far, I can relate to Roxie maybe the most, however the book is not my favorite from them.
I will continue with the stories, especially because of how the last one ended.

Review: While I enjoyed the book overall, I felt like everything was rushed. There were times I found myself questioning Sebastian and Shea's love just because it was so rushed and intense. Like in 10 years, would they still be together or would they crash and burn? Despite that, I enjoyed the back story and seeing just how entwined Sebastian and Shea's history really was. I would have to say my favorite part about the book was Sebastian's relationship with Shea's daughter, Kallie. They were adorable together!

A quick, entertaining read. I like how the characters in this series have progressed and am happy the tension in Mercy and Adam's relationship isn't driving the plot these days - the ongoing fae politics and external threats are much more interesting. It's good to see Zee and Tad again and I liked Aiden.

Reading a book by AMS is like putting on a pair of comfy pajamas and settling under a warm blanket with a cup of tea. In this installment, Isabel is asked to look for any skeletons that may be in the closets of candidates for a headmaster job at a posh boarding school. She also deals with the insecurity of being engaged to a much younger man. I think Isabel's analytic nature gets in the way of her happiness, but fortunately she has friends who are very understanding.

It started out good and I was interested but then it just got....not for me. As the story goes on, we discover that April is a total badass. Of course. She is awesome with swords and knives of all sizes, and don't forget the meteor hammer! She can clear out vampire hives all by herself! She also cries and sighs alot. I'll allow it since she lost her family...

She comes face-to-face with new hybred vampires and there, she meets Rye. After seeing him like a whole 3 times, he explanes that some vampires find "the one" and are then mated for life. It's also necessary, though we don't find out why. Did I mention she cries and sighs alot? Now it's getting annoying. Lets not forget to mention that April is a special kind of hybred herself. She gets all the plus of being a human with all the plus of vampire powers.

Book: Girl, Stolen

Rating: I'm having a hard time choosing between 2 or 3 stars. I might have to think a little more about this.
Review: I am glad the author did her research. I do realize the book was meant for young teenagers, and there is often a need for explanations concerning things, words, places, other, which might not be familiar to the general public, but I am pretty sure by the time most of us were teenagers we knew blind people used canes. Not only was this explained to us in detail the author saw fit to revisit her first telling (a full paragraph) in more detail more than once in later chapters. This is just one example.

Qualification: Ellery Adams

The Charmed Pie Shoppe Mysteries are always quick and exciting reads and Lemon Pies and Little White Lies was no exceptions. This book really dealt with the fault out to Ella Mae's personal life that started in the previous book. She also stepped up to her role as Clover Queen and helped bring both magical clans together. The ending was a big game changer for the series and I'm excited that I already have the next book so I don't have to wait to see how it affects Ella Mae going forward.

I really enjoyed this book. Katie Lightfoot moved to Georgia to help her Aunt and Uncle open their new bakery. Before they even have the grand opening, a customer is murdered right outside the back door. Poor Uncle Ben becomes the prime suspect so Katie decides to help clear his name.

In the middle of all this, Aunt Lucy tells Katie that her book club is actually all witches, and Katie's on too! She is reluctant to believe at first but then takes to it pretty quick. I loved her little stray dog that comes to live with her, Mungo the Magnificent. He is her familiar and has a little mind of his own! Katie also draws the attention of two handsome men, Declan, also a witch, and Steve, a police officer

Review: A decently paced mystery with moments of humor and interesting characters, not quite as 'historical' (at one point the main character claims something is 'cool') but entertaining nonetheless.
I like the 'Medicus' series by Ruth Downie a little better, it feels more historically accurate and the characters more fleshed out. However, Davis wrote her series well before - and perhaps for a different audience. I'm unsure if I'll continue this series, perhaps if available via library

Review: I debated between rating this between 3 or 4 stars. The MC drove me crazy. Some of her reactions made no sense to me and she annoyed me a lot, especially in the beginning of the book. But I enjoyed the overall story. I liked the whole premise of the gracelings and I liked the character of Po. I may or may not continue with the series.
