(view spoiler)[ I found the very first chapter where he dies really emotional. I liked the detail we got and we literally knew what happened as and when he did it. Obviously we don't know why but that comes later in the story. I think this is a really good premise and Patrick Ness is one of my favourite authors so it's no wonder that I loved it. (view spoiler)[ Tommy and Regine are amazing complex characters. And they are the best people for him to find. I love how they become a family and they are always there for each other and have each other's backs. I also loved getting to know the world and what had happened to it for it to be covered in dust/ash and to be demolished apart from his neighbourhood. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ The idea of having a simulation/other world online that is exactly like the real world but perfect is a good one. The world was obviously crumbling around them and they did what they could to protect the remaining human race and to not only survive but to keep the human race going. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ The revelation with Seths brother Owen was heartbreaking and the amount of blame he puts on himself is ridiculous. He was an 8 year old boy. The only people at fault was the prisoner for kidnapping him and his mother for leaving two young boys home alone in the house when they weren't old enough. This was an amazing book and I can't wait till I read another by Patrick Ness. (hide spoiler)]
