Laura I hate it too! The shitty grammar really bugged me, and honestly the whole series was just about Peeta. Where's the Hunger Games that I was promised? I just can't wrap my head around why people like this series. It's mediocre and overrated, although I must say that I disagree with you about the kids killing each other thing - if you were paying attention, then you'd see that the series was supposed to be about rebelling against kid murderers (although I still stand by the point that the entire series appears to revolve around Peeta).

I hated the third book so much that I wound up giving the entire series a one-star rating. I could forgive Collins for copying "Battle Royale" once. And even twice, as "Catching Fire" was good." But Collins had all these smart people inside and outside the government and a bloodless spy thriller revealing how smart Katniss really is would have been a blast. Instead, Collins can only up the violence to a pinnacle: she burns children to death. Ugh. I only read one book, the first, of Twilight, but upon review, it was better. And Potter? Miles and miles better than Hunger Games. Shame on you Collins!!!

I love The Hunger Games, but you are perfectly entitled to like or dislike any book you want. Those who ostracize you for disliking The Hunger Games are being very immature about this. All through their lives they will find people who don't share their opinions on literature, music, art, etc., and they will discover that some of these people are people whom they love. If we excluded all those who don't share our enthusiasms, we would soon find ourselves alone and friendless. Be yourself and don't compromise!

Bella the Great and Powerful Preach it to the choir, I don’t like it either. Any part of it. But I’ve always been “hated” on for my taste in books, and I’ll tell you why, by composing a short list for you here of the ones I hate(AND YES, IVE READ EM, SO I CAN HATE)

- Hunger Games(Duh)
- Harry Potter(yeah sorry guys)
- divergent
- the fault in our stars(I mean come on guys)
- Anything if read yet that has either a werewolf or a vampire

So yeah you’re not alone. TEAM ALICE IN WONDERLAND/ASOUE. Juvenile fiction FTW!
