There are no chapters in this one, so I think I'm in chapter 3 or so ?

But it's really weird so far! (view spoiler)[ There is no mention of a virus or plague to turned people into these vampire zombie things! They will drain you dry and eat your flesh! *shudder* (hide spoiler)]

And more strange (view spoiler)[ It's dystopian but they have horse drawn carriages, the show no emotion. At all! And if they find something funny they don't laugh, instead they sratch their wrists?? Very bizarre! lol! (hide spoiler)]

Also (view spoiler)[ He rubs himself in butter to cover the order? Or is it like sunblock? I can't remember but when I was younger my sister would use Crisco instead of suntan oil and layout in the sun to try to get tan. Wouldn't that be the same thing if he was using butter for sunblock? ok! I'm at the tail end of the chapter 'Hunt Minus Four Nights' I think that is 4 chapters?

Ashley June (view spoiler)[ I can't figure her out! She has to be one of them because she didn't lag behind when they all ran to the heper village. But! I think she knows that Gene is human! Is she waiting for the right moment to catch him off guard and add him to her list of kills? Or does she really like him and she will try to save him? (hide spoiler)]

I don't know, but (view spoiler)[ these 'people' are so wierd! And Gene! When he saw the girl getting water from the pond, he called her an 'it'!! Is that just ingrained in his brain that he refers to humans as object? It's still very weird to me! I want to know why they are this way! Why do they want to devour humans? Was it a virus or plague? An experiment gone wrong? It's kind of bugging me that there is no explanation for this! (hide spoiler)]

I will read more in the morning with breakfast and then I have to work in the morning but I'm off by 1 so I should get some more done on this one later in the afternoon. :)

I'm glad someone read today! My eyes were so irritated from crying at the funeral. I'm just gonna continue playing catch up, even though I'm getting nowhere fast! Lol

It's really good so far and I have to tell you that I had a dream last night about this book! I'm not scared while reading this, but it certainly creeps me out! lol!

So all I remember in my dream are these hunters and they are drooling and blood thristy, then I woke with a start...just a slight one and then I had that feeling that I kind of had a bad dream and it's still dark and I don't want to roll over and look around because I had that panicky feeling! lol!!

So I just finished 'Hunt Minus Three Nights' and I was wondering about (view spoiler)[ the hunters origins again. Are they aliens? Or did they evolve? Like some humans evolved and some didn't? (hide spoiler)]

Also (view spoiler)[ when Gene went to the pond to drink and bathe, shouldn't he be scared that he will be caught on tape? Aren't they recording the village all the time even though no one is watching it 24/7? (hide spoiler)]

ok! I went to read some of The Diviners, to try to catch up but I had to charge my tablet. So I came back to this one and I'm finished with 'Hunt Minus Two Nights'

Ashley June (view spoiler)[ I knew she wasn't one of them! But how did Gene not notice that she was slow with running? Maybe he was just so focused on everyone else not noticing him?

And have you noticed she is the only one that had a name in this book, unitl Sissy? Everyone else was 'The Director' or 'Frilly Dress.' Also I find it very VERY unlikely that she could have survived all this time without being found out after puberty because of her being a girl! Maybe she kept her weight down so she wouldn't have that problem? But if she had been alone since she was seven years old, would she even know what was happening to her in the first place? So she may not even know to keep her weight down to avoid that? And then it wasn't even mentioned! There was nothing said about it at all! I think at least Gene should have asked how she dealt with that particular issue! (hide spoiler)]

Sissy (view spoiler)[ I like how fearless she is! And it makes me sad to think that David and Jacob, especially Jacob being 10 years old are going to be brutally hunted down and viciously eaten. And Gene and Ashley June are not even going to give them a heads up! Nothing! They aren't going to try to help them! When Gene was there eating their food and drinking their water, he could have told them...something! And all he did tell them was lies! But then I think it was a little too coincidental that they found that map and it leads to where he was telling Sissy and the others that there was a community of hepers! Hate that word by the way! lol! (hide spoiler)]

Just finished chapter hunt minus four nights.

This is interesting so far, but (view spoiler)[I am confused I don't understand why they are this way. There is no explanation so far as to why they want to devour humans. Are they vampires? or is it a type of virus? any type of explanation would be nice (hide spoiler)]
