OK I confess,I cheated ! But I had to know !

I started reading this book got as far as chapter eight.Really good read
and well the one thing that got me curious above all else was the
Sola & Assail story.

So I skimmed through the book looking for the parts with their story
and read all of them first, its quite a stand alone storyline from
the rest of the book. I would love to comment but don`t want to
spoil it for anyone still reading the book.

I have to say I have never done this before with any book I have read
please someone out there tell me I am not the only one. In my defence
well, it was a long wait, but just on what I have read so far, wow it
was worth it, looking forward now to the next book,hope its not too
long away.

I really like the Assail and Sola storyline..liked it more than the main couple of the previous book (too much drama with Lover at Last for my taste).

I know what you mean I re-read Lover at last just before this to jog my
memory, glad I did because there was so much going on, too much really,
which is why Sola & Assail will be in the next book. I think they should
have had their own book, this looks like being a long drawn out tale.

Well, now that the storyline with John Matthew is "done"...she had to come up with something to brake the pace. I always loved the Revh storyline for some reason.

That is the biggest problem I have with my Kindle - it's too hard to cheat! But thanks for letting me know the King is worth reading in its entirety :)

I enjoyed the Revh storyline too, although my all time favourite
is Butch & V. I love the banter between them they can be so funny
at times and other times their lives are so sad and thought provoking.
The interaction between them makes their characters so unique
and quite believable.

After reading the assail/Sola story and getting back to where I left off
I am currently half way through chapter 38 so still away to go before finishing

I was almost tempted to drift off again and read through the Trez/iAm/Selena story
but so far I am sticking to reading the regular way, geeze what is it about this book
I have never read any other book in this way before.
I am normally a strictly start to finish kind of reader.

So far I have not done that,well I say that but if a book gets
boring and starts to seem predictable, I have scooted off to
the last chapter read and finished it, usually with the predictable
result I imagined, those kinds of books I just don`t have the
patience to read right through. Thankfully its a rare occurance

I am well known to family and friends as reading the end of the book before the start. If I don't like the end (and I'm not talking cliffhangers) why bother reading the book. And I agree it is much harder to do with kindle books. LOL.

I don't do it with my fav authors so much any more, but newbies, you better believe it.

And I have been known to skim the boring bits of books, and I've also read books from back to front. Sometimes it just gets so interesting I just keep going backwards. Then I usually re-read it properly.

Everyone IKIRL is appalled, but it works for me :DD

I do the same thing, Sandra. I always read the last chapter first (even mysteries). I've been known to start a book somewhere in the middle and more or less read in two different directions. I'll skim if I'm bored or anxious to get to the next plot development. No one can possibly spoil anything for me. I'll read every spoiler I can before deciding to read a book. And after I've finished with jumping all over the place, I'll reread the book "properly." Anyone I "confess" this rather odd reading practice to is usually appalled, but I figure I'm too old to change my ways now. Besides, since most of what I read is romance with an HEA, it's all about the journey, not the destination.

Exactly Sandra J. I do all those things as well :) I wonder if being Sandras has something to do with it. LOL.

I know how my HEA is going to end up, but if the ending isn't written well enough, then that's just depressing, and I lose interest. And I generally do the same with mysteries as well. Never been a problem as I usually figure out the bad guy anyway, cause there is always at least one clue given by the author.

My confession was NOTHING compared with that of the Sandras, and I see that I'm a novice at cheating. I stand in awe of their superior and inventive ways. Flames all gone now.

Good C.M.J. No need for flames or shames. Everyone reads differently, just like a favourite spot or position to read in.

My way I probably end up reading twice or three times the amount a "normal" person reads, excluding Sandra J of course. I've always been a big re-reader. The week that came out, I think I read it 3 or 4 times, I enjoyed it that much.

wow I never tried reading a book back to front(backwards), think I`ll give that a go
next time I get a dull book, who knows it might be more interesting to read.
