Hello. My name is John and I'm a new member of the Sundered Book Club. I am mainly here because Erin M. Evans' Brimstone Angel Saga, which has pulled me from the world of Warhammer 40k fiction into Fantasy. I have a strange aversion to book series that have dozens of books already, and tend to always look for beginning series that I hop on and enjoy over time. Other fantasy series that I like are Glen Cook's The Black Company, Andrzej Sapkowski's The Witcher Series, and Mark Lawrence's Prince/King/Emperor of Thorns. Also like historical/fantasy movies and TV shows like Alexander, Vikings, and Game of Thrones.
I have an ambition to become a writer at some point in my life, don't know how far off that goal is, but I figure I like to write so much for fun that I might as well try. I have two projects going on at the moment, but they are very much "works in progress" XD.
And nice to meet you Chad!
Hi everyone. I've been around since we ported over to goodreads, and had only just found the book club back on the Wizards site when we moved. Good thing that we did not what WotC has shut down their forums!I'm looking forward to Erin's next book. I thought her last one was probably my favorite book of 2014, so I'm excited to get into this one. Erin's easily my favorite active Realms author. Picked up the series with The Adversary, and I'm keen to dive into the next stage of the story.
I'm David, been around this group since Fire in the Blood. I got introduced to the Brimstone Angels with the Adversary trying to get into the Sundering. All it did was convince me to get into Brimstone Angels instead of the Sundering. Been hooked on Tieflings ever since. All I can ever roll up when playing D&D (Regardless of edition). I can't wait to see what happens next.
I'm John, my wife and I are avid fans of Erin's and read each new release. I mostly lurk here in the club but have enjoyed reading alongside others since the Sundering kicked off.Erin's last book Fire in the Blood was so good, our home D&D game now takes place in Cormyr. Now my players are asking about when the Dragonborn campaign kicks off.
I'm Jonn, I'm late to the party. I joined around the tail end of the 4e novels. I mostly lurk but occasionally like to make comments. Despite running multiple modules and taking part in organized-play set in the Realms, I had lost interest in the setting. Erin's novels really sparked my renewed interest. The stories are more personal which I think is uniquely lacking from many D&D novels. The Brimstone Angels inspired several campaigns of mine and my ten-year-old now only wants to play Teiflings (even when we play Fate Core.)
Hola!
My name is David & I have been a member of the WotC Novel club since the very beginning--back when more books were coming out then we could keep up with! My favorite WotC book is likely Shadowbane, my favorite WotC world is Eberron, & my favorite character to play is halfling thief.
My all time favorite read we have done was likely the first time Erin read along with us--she was totally fired up & really engaged the community--it was mind blowing at the time how much access to the author we had! My favorite character is Erin's character Book!
I have a wife, son [14], daughter [13], & son [7] and I live in Irvine, CA--30 min south of Disneyland. I play weekly D&D Encounters in and around Orange County California, a 4E Beer and Pretzel Eberron Game, and Public Play at the SrategiCon events in LA.

When I am not reading Forgotten Realms novels, I am playing Dungeons and Dragons, reading comic books, playing an MMORPG online, or binge watching something on Netflix.
My favorite part of the book club has to be when we get the opportunity to interact with the authors and get a "peek behind the curtains" of their writing process and/or thought process for the book.
