I have a lot on my list for F. I will probably end up reading Firefight by Brandon Sanderson. It is second in a series and revolves around evil superheroes and the ordinary people trying to take back the world. Superheroes are not really my thing, but I like his writing style, and it took me a bit to get into the first one, but then I really enjoyed the story.

Also considering The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen, Forget Me by K.A. Harrington, The Fever by Megan Abbott, Fallout by Todd Strasser, Forgotten by Cat Patrick.

I would recommend Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It is one of my favorite books of all time. (I promise not to say that on every discussion board). If you aren't into fandoms though, it is probably not for you. I would also recommend The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom, and Faking It by Cora Carmack. Faking It is second in a series, but it is more of a spin-off where a character from book one gets their own book. It makes a small reference to the previous characters, but with context so you wouldn't be confused.

Rokkan (rokk) | 8 comments There's a classic in Fahrenheit 451, of course, but I've already read that and am trying to read books that I've bought but not read yet. False Memory by Dean Koontz is worth a read if you don't mind a hefty volume. Feet of Clay by Sir Terry Pratchett [or, indeed anything by Pratchett, The Fifth Elephant fits here too] is worth a read too.

The Far Time Incident is the one that I'm ging to read, though.

Sherry Lister | 45 comments I have chosen "Famous Last Words" by Katie Alender for my "F" book. I also intend to read "The Fold" by Peter Clines as well as "Fire" by Kristin Cashore (after I finally read "Graceling" that is)!

I loved "The False Prince". I really want to go further with the series but it is so far down the alphabet! Lol

I have never read Terry Pratchet, but apparently I should!

Sherry Lister | 45 comments I am still waiting on my chosen "F" book from the library, but I just finished "Blur" by Steven James and loved it so much I'm going right into the second book of the trilogy, "Fury". I will still read my other "F" book when available.

Heidi | 10 comments I agree on The Five People You Meet In Heaven...interesting, but not necessarily good (although lots of quotable lines). Although it is a short read.

Yes, 5 people is quick and easy, it does have good lines, and it's interesting to think how all our lives tie together. I haven't ever met anyone who disliked it, but I agree, it's not great literature.

I tried to read Firefight, but just wasn't feeling it. The first book in the series took me a long time to get into too. I abandoned it for Forget Me. It was interesting enough to keep reading, but also seemed far fetched, predictable, and not exactly well-written. I don't think I would recommend it.
