I did something a bit off the beaten path for this one. I read a fan translation of the light novel series Maria-sama ga Miteru and then read the manga adaptation. I reviewed it here.
While it may be cheating because of how short it is, I used Corban Wilkin's The Old Man and the Sea because I loved the book and was desperately hoping there would be a comic version. I thought the art was beautiful and honestly...how long can a comic summarizing a 100 page book be?
Pretty sure I'm doing A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle and A Wrinkle in Time: The Graphic Novel by Hope LarsonMy mom and I read A Wrinkle In Time together when I was probably a little young for it but she'd read a page and I'd read a page and she'd read a page and I'd read a page and it was a really special memory for me.
I was assigned the novel once in school but I'm pretty sure I didn't reread it then. So it will be nice to revisit it now, and the graphic novel.
Ooh! I didn't realise there was a graphic version of A Wrinkle in Time, and I have that book on my TBR shelf! I was struggling to find something for this one too, thank you :)
