Request to Update the Librarian Manual About Novella Numbering

It seems the question of novella numbering in series is coming up more and more. As I understood it any novella, novelette, short story, etc. that were part of a series were numbered with decimals. The problem is that this is not outright stated in the manual and many other librarians prefer to go with retail numbering which may or may not match. This leads to inconsistencies and no standards. Can the manual be updated so we know what the actual GG guidelines are?


Note: I do flag the changes but to date none have been changed back to the decimal formatting. Because of that I look like the wrong one when it is left with whole numbers.

Hey Lisa, apologies for the delay here - we agree that we need clear guidelines posted in the Manual, and we're working on it. We'll update here when we have it posted!
