Sarah, me too! My friend's description of it had me intrigued. Happy to jump on board anytime soon!
Great to see others would be interested :)Do we want to say March? Or April?
I'm pretty open to whatever.

I think either March or April would work equally well for me.
Yup, either should work for me :) we can set up a thread closer to the month. Eggcited!

Want to tentatively say early March? And we can adjust if needed as we get closer?
I'm doing the Le Morte d'Arthur: King Arthur and the Legends of the Round Table buddy read later in March, but this is short enough I can squeeze it in whenever.

Sounds great Sarah! ;-)
I'll add Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions for March and Darconville’s Cat for April. We can move things around later if need be and create threads nearer to the time.

I'm going to try and participate in Flatland in March. It's within my real busy time but since it's so short I should be able to fit it in. I'm definitely going to read it at some point, not matter what.
I know it's in the polls and it's very early in the voting yet, but would anyone else be interested in reading Phantom of the Opera with me if it doesn't win? I read it some ten years ago and would like to read it again.
Hi, Pink. I think you can go ahead and add War and Peace to the buddy read list for February. I have heard from several people who would like to read with me during February/March. Thanks so much!
I'm reading Joy in the Morning by Wodehouse right now. Anyone interested in frivolous escapism is welcome to join me. No serious people allowed!
I'd love to try War and Peace in February. I've always wanted to read it and I think having someone else reading with me would get me to do it! It's so intimadating! :)Also, Phil, I'd love to read Joy in the Morning! I'll request a copy from my library.
April for Darconville's Cat is perfect for me, actually -- I didn't want to start it until I finished my Masters as I've heard it requires a rather intense level of focus. I can't wait!
Janet, you are welcome to join us. The link to the discussion is posted at the other thread. I have actually already started the book.

I can't wait!"I allow myself one "Massive Queue-Jumper" per month and February and March are already seriously spoken for, so April it is!
Calling all George Eliot fans. We're getting the band back together again. I've set up a buddy read thread for The Mill on the Floss. You can find it here. It's the most dangerous combination since nitro and glycerine. DO YOU SEE THE LIGHT?
Cute Leni, I'm in. I always see the light! The power that exists at zero point is beyond what anyone can fathom. Do you dare to take the trip?
Ellen wrote: "I know it's in the polls and it's very early in the voting yet, but would anyone else be interested in reading Phantom of the Opera with me if it doesn't win? I read it some ten years ago and would..."I would not mind reading Phantom of the Opera for March.
Ellen wrote: "I know it's in the polls and it's very early in the voting yet, but would anyone else be interested in reading Phantom of the Opera with me if it doesn't win? I read it some ten years ago and would..."I can buddy read it in March as well.
Lee and Piyangie,I've nominated Phantom for Revisit the Shelf in April, so we can see how it does. If it doesn't make it, we can read it in March.
Alexw wrote: "reading Lean Mean thirteen by Evanovich- should read in 4 days , tops and then Be Frank With Me."I liked Be Frank With Me :)
am I right in thinking there's a buddy read for Don Quixote planned for March?doesn't seem to be on the list...?

I should be done by Mid-March. It has been a long haul through this book for me.

I remember this being mentioned a couple of months ago, but don't think I had a definite date to add to the list at the time. If others are planning to read in a March also, I can add it to the schedule. Otherwise we already have threads in use here https://www.goodreads.com/group/comme...
looking back it looks like Hailee suggested it originally and both Ellen and myself were keen, with Bat-Cat a maybe ;o)guess we need to hear from Hailee...?
It was me that mentioned it but to be honest it had gone completely out of my head. But I definately want to read it so if other people are available to start it in March then I will make time for it myself. If people haven't got time in March but still want to read it what about starting in April or May?If anyone still wants to buddy read it reply on this thread and vote for which month you prefer and we'll go with the majority. Does that sound ok?

Hey Guys, I would love to join you for a read of Don Quixote but realistically will not be able to get to it for several months. Please don't hold off on my account. If it works out that I can join you I will be more than happy to do so. Enjoy!!!
re Don QuixoteI can still do March (that was my plan!)
happy to do April or May, but don't want to leave it any later that that
Also, and I am super ashamed to admit this, I have never read Little Women. I have time for a short-ish book coming up in March or April since I have recently read several of the group reads planned for then. Is there anyone else who has never read this and would be willing to read along with me?

March would be my preference, but April is fine too. Whenever you want to plan for will work for me.
I will be reading both Love Medicine and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd next month if anyone would like to join in.
I think I'd like April for Quixote, if only because I'm planning to read both Doctor Zhivago and Le Morte dArthur in March and my work schedule is getting busy again.
Ok I think April seems to work for everyone that expressed an interest in a buddy read of Don Quixote. Is April ok for you Paula? If you can't start until late March I'm just presuming going into April will be ok? Let me know if that's not the case.

currently thinking April for Darconville's Cat
