"Kalli… Kalliope…" Awnder gasped, his throat covered with congealed blood.
His sister stood above him with a cruel smile. "Not so small now, eh?" she laughed, a ending with a snarl.
"Kalliope?" a voice asked behind her. She turned to face her father and her sister Oak. "What are you doing?" Linder looked horrified, the sun beating down on his hardened features.
Kalliope didn't respond and sprang forward, wrapping her jaws around her father's neck. His blood tasted warm in her mouth. "I didn't want to do this," she hissed in Linder's ear as his eyes went dark. "I had no choice," she continued. "You were a terrible leader. No passion. No want for more."
Oak tried to bring Kalliope down with a swipe at her side. Kalliope spun around, slicing through her sister's chest and watched the red come through. "I'm sorry, sister," Kalliope murmured. "But you get what you deserve."

Cyclone swooped down from the branches of the massive cedar tree in which all the birds of the CloudPine realm roosted. He hopped along the bottom of the roots. A small beak poked its way from a home underneath a root, and Cyclone spread his wings and lifted one leg in the gesture of the beta. Juliena emerged from her nest and bowed, spreading her small wings. Cyclone nodded approval.
"Are you ready?"
The orphaned lark's eyes lit up and she fluttered her wings. Cyclone launched himself into the air, then circled Juliena as she took a few experimental flaps. She lifted up after a few tries and flew lopsidedly after Cyclone as he slowly led her up into the big tree.
"I'm so excited!" she trilled. "I can fly! I can join the other birds!"
Cyclone's beak curved in a small smile, and he flew loops around her so she could keep her balance.

Personality Traits: Tenebris is very caring and protective of his family and friends, and would sacrifice himself to save them in an instant. He is extremely angry at himself and everyone else, and will often lash out if something he cares about is mentioned, like his family. He is a brave fighter, even in the face of danger and death. He is determined to help others who need it, no matter what the cost. He hates to let anyone down. He prefers to avoid talking about himself and his life, focusing on others and their problems. He is extremely resentful of the MountainRiver Realm for imprisoning him after what he had has been through, and will be reluctant to treat any of them with kindness. He feels guilty for what happened to his family and for killing an innocent wolf, so he almost feels like he deserves to be a prisoner. He prefers not to get attached to anyone now, not wanting to go through the pain of losing anyone else he cares about.

[HISTORY]

Tenebris lived with in the unclaimed lands for most of his life with his mother, father, younger brother and younger sister. His mother grew ill and died several months after his siblings were born, so he would often help his father to care for the two of them. His father went out hunting one day a few weeks ago and left him to take care of his siblings while he was gone. While Tenebris was standing guard outside of the den, two wolves showed up, looking for a quick meal. He attacked them, only to be easily overpowered and cast aside, his ear torn off to teach him a lesson. He watched in horror as they dug out the den and found his siblings. He struggled to force himself up, but quickly realized he was too late. The wolves held the lifeless bodies of his siblings in their mouths. One of the wolves set down his dead sister and started walking over to kill him next as he tried to call for help. His father charged toward the den and tackled the wolf to the ground, telling Tenebris to run. Tenebris did as he was told, looking back only to see his father being killed by the wolves. He refused to look back again after that.

He eventually came to the border of MountainRiver Realm and saw a lone wolf on patrol. Rage overcame him and he attacked the wolf, thinking it had something to do with what had just happened to his family. After a short fight he was able to kill it, although he was injured in the process. He came to the sudden realization that the wolf had done nothing wrong, and was instantly horrified at what he had done. When fighters from the MountainRiver Realm came to imprison him, he grudgingly came without a fight. He told no one of what had happened, convinced that they would not understand or care, and has been imprisoned since then.

Tenebris stared at the ground, barely able to watch himself put one weary paw in front of the other as he ran. He felt like he had been running for miles, which he might have been. He couldn’t even tell anymore. He only knew he was running, and he had to keep running if he wanted to live. Fresh tears stung his eyes as he thought once again of his siblings, of what the wolves had done to them. He shook his head in an effort to get rid of the memories, but he knew he would never be able to. He tried to avoid thinking about it, keeping his attention on getting his legs to keep moving through the pain.
