R7: "Seven Wonders of the Reading World" (2)

I will go with alternate - text phone
I'll be reading

Will start it tonight

It has phone in the book multiple times. Just "looked inside" the book on Amazon.

I use it all the time if I'm reading a print book. Not there for all books but there for quite a few.

Go to Amazon and search for the book. On the left hand side once the book is brought up it says look inside with an arrow pointing to the book. Click on the book and below it is a box that says search inside this book. Put the work you want and it tells you if it's in the book or not. If it is it gives you at least part of the sentence and page #. If you click on it it will take you to the page in the book - most of the time, all pages aren't shown - or look in the book you have.
Sometimes you have to flip between print/kindle to see the search inside and also for the box to put your word in.
If you try with the book you chose, click on it, when you go to Goodreads, click on Amazon, below the book and it will bring you right there.
Try it and let me know how it goes.

Someone told me about it when I first started doing challenges and it does come in handy. When pressed for time I always want to make sure the book I'm reading will go towards the challenge.
Much easier with ebooks!

I'll be reading Rusty Nailed which has phone in the text multiple times....do I only need to post 1 time?

Yes, just once for the text.
What do you do?
I was at work at 7:45am and got home about 5:15 and have tons of errands to do this weekend but I plan to fit reading in where I can.
I'm about 1/3 of the way through my book and enjoying it. Love that I will be able to use it for multiple challenges since I in 13 including this one!

Yes, only once. If multiple times just put one sentence with the word in it in your review. I'm reading books 7 and 8 for this year already. Last year read over 220.

Happy reading all.
Should finish mine sometime tomorrow and then will get the review up.

I used to read all the time, every second of the day, I could read 100 or so books in a year, since becoming a mom though I'm not as fast. However I did read my book 2 in 2.5 days and that was over 200 pages long so maybe just maybe I can keep up my pace this year. I'm already in chapter 2 of my book and I just started an hour ago so we'll see.

My son is 24 so I have more time to read. He works long hours as an auditor, still lives home since he travels to different clients and we're more centrally located for them. Hubby is retired so he does a lot of the errands which helps too.

Happy Reading everyone!

Love, love, love when it fits many challenges!
How many are you doing?

Can't wait to see what next week brings!
Week 1: Spot:8 or Alternative~ Text"Phone"
Book: Restless (Finding Love #1) by Paris Hansen
Qualification: Text "Phone"
Finished: 1/16/16
Rating & Review: 3 stars
This is a debut novel that I won by commenting on a post on Goodreads! It was a quick read but choppy in places since I felt scenes/venues were skipped that were important to the story and actually turned back a few times to make sure I didn't miss a page or two.
I liked the characters but both Savannah and Gabriel were trying at times. They tended to think for the other and plan their life accordingly. Their lack of communication caused more than one problem between them. I hated Valerie on sight and it never got better and Gabriel was a fool where she was concerned. Brooklyn and Finley were nice additions as was Declan. There were quite a few twists and turns as well as heartache, fear, tears, laughter, love, hate, businesses to run and lots of loving and heat up the sheet moments. There was closure but enough loose ends even with the epilogue. I'm happy to see there are many more books in the series and I do plan to add them all to my always growing TBR pile!

Book: Wild Irish by Jennifer Saints
Qualification: Text "Phone"
Finished: 1/15/16
Rating & Review: 4 Stars
Wild Irish is the first book in Jennifer Saints Wild Irish Series and it's smoking hot! The book is well written with interesting characters and a good plot. The dialogue is witty and the secondary characters are also entertaining. The sex scenes are very hot and there is a ton of chemistry between Alexi and Jesse.
However, the book has too much sex in it. I like a good sex scene or a few good ones in my romance and the ones in this book are written really well and they are off the charts hot but there was so much of it that by the end I found myself skimming through them to get back to the story. The story was actually interesting and I wanted more. I enjoyed both the characters, found the plot interesting although the author tied everything up rather quickly in the end. I would have liked a more drawn out conclusion with a little more development and little less sex. Still overall, I really enjoyed the book and I plan to add the rest of the series to my TBR.

I think it fits 8 challenges at the last count

As long as your review is posted by Thursday night you'll be fine.
That is a tough job and a tough field.

Mine ended up being used for 11 out of 13 challenges! Love when that happens.

Always nice when that happens, Somehow I went on overload this year on challenges. Kept finding new and interesting ones and I kept signing up. It now takes a while to go through the list and see if it fits.

:)

For this week, I don't have a #8 book (yet) so I'm going with the alternate -

Spot:8 (or Alternative~ Text"Phone")

Book:The Christmas Pearl
Qualification:Text "Phone"
Finished:01/17
Rating & Review:3☆
This was quite a quick read although a little overly sentimental. This is basically a contemporary twist on Dickens A Christmas Carol. Set over Christmas the story is centred on a 93 year old Theodora and the disillusionment she feels for her family and their lack of holiday cheer and traditional family values. A ghostly encounter brings her old housekeeper, Pearl, in to help resolve the problems that the family are having as well as restoring some of the traditions that Theodora grew up with. There is a Hallmark channel feel to the story but it was enjoyable.

I have to plan my reading around life. Some books get priority for various challenges, review needed, I have to read it since it's by a favorite author, next in a series, etc. Believe me I won't always be so quick and when I do get it done it's another thing to cross of the to do list!
