I take it we'll be able to roll Midnight Thursday then as we've missed this week's deadline. I'm away next weekend so can take my book with me.

Wait...why can't we roll? If Vi finished (even though itbwas late)... Can't we just roll? I've never jad this issue before...so I don't understand. I thoughr we couls roll anytime...after 11:59...
We have from midnight Thursday to midnight Friday to get all the reviews in. If we miss the deadline we forfeit our roll for the week. Vi didn't put her review up in time - just stated she'd finished.
So what happens now? We have a week free of reading or do we do it all over again? I'm sorry I caused so much confusion ladies, I feel bad.

Book: Remember When by Judith McNaught

Review:
I remembered reading this book during my McNaught glom years back. When I came across this book in the library, I decided to re-read it on a whim. I remember being ambivalent about it then but during this re-read I was able to figure about why.
Paradise is one of my all-time favorite books by this author and Remember When reads like a lightly modified abridged version of the same. The two lead characters Diana & Cole remind me very much of Meredith & Matt. The more I read the book, the more similarities I see that affected my enjoyment.
Conclusion: the book standsalone on it's own merit. But when seen against my fav book, it falls far short.

Not all teams would have acted like we have- I've seen it on other posts. We were all in contact during the week and knew it was a tough week for many. That green cover really got to a few of us.
I've never won even when my team has been in the running for the top spot. I've always felt - It's not whether you win or lose but how you play the game (forgot who said this) is the right way to live your life. I'd rather be known for kindness, ethics, etc. than that I did whatever I could to be #1 even if it hurt others along the way.
And as Ezi says - it's supposed to be fun!

Love books about SEALS and other military. Reading one now by Rachel Gibson.
I like reading military books as well (unless they are so FAR off reality). Being retired military that drives me crazy but for the most part I find that most authors do plenty of research and get things correct. This series has been hit and miss for me. Some I really like and others not so much. Which Rachel Gibson book are you reading? I like her stuff - there's usually a nice sense of humor in her books.

Have you read Elle Kennedy's Killer Instinct series?
I've read through book #5 and I really like them. The M/Cs are very different from your typical characters and I like the suspense/action in the books. I own book #6 so I'll get to it sometime soon.
I own books #2 and #3 in the Truly Idaho Military Men Series but I haven't read them yet. I'll probably get book #1 since I try not to read out of order. I know in a lot of series it doesn't matter but I'm kinda OCD like that.

Sometimes I do try to get the others first and read them so I get the flow better but it's not totally necessary for me.

I can't! I have to read in order! Sometimes it's so hard to find a book for these team challenges because of that....but the thought of reading out of order is worse ^_^

I'm with you Belinda I have trouble sometimes too because I refuse to read out of order!
Me three. I just can't read a series out of order. I'm better than before in that now I can at least think about reading them out of order.. That's about the improvement I have in the years I've read.

Review: This book was not one of the best in the series IMO. I just couldn't connect with Lucy the heroine. She took being independent to such a level that it risked not only her mission but her partner Gus. I also didn't feel the chemistry between Gus and Lucy. There was plenty of action and I did like the jungle setting. So while this one was just okay for me I will keep reading the series.
Oh boy!!! I am with you guys, too!!! lol. I can NOT read series books out of order!! I often find a book purely by accident, only to discover it is part of a series, and, naturally, it is inevitable that it is not the first book!! So then, I have to find book 1 (and how ever many others) and tead them first!!!
Yes so true. Nowadays it feels like all the books are part of a main series or a spin-off. Or they turn out to be prequels/sequels. I've had a lot of disappointing library runs because of this.I finished my book
