I wrote an article named: "what does it mean to be a man"? it is a really interesting article calling out on our expectations of men and the beliefs and roles we set out for me and how we (men and women) push this old mentality on them. There's great free-to-view educational documentaries on gender roles available on the Media Education Foundation website.

Been meaning to mention this site. Top-notch institution which distributes award-winning documentaries to colleges and high schools. Free to watch on their site, (all of us) at low-res.

My fave: 'Behind the Screens' which deals with consumer product placement in cinema.
