At the end of the book, they're is some very important information that helps to add to the characterization and understanding of Teresa. After the acknowledgments, Dashner includes a chapter about Teresa. We learn more about Teresa through her dialogue. After Thomas convinces Teresa to tell him about her life before they go to WICKED, she says, "My name was Deedee before I came here," From this one line, we learn about Teresa. Throughout the whole book, we have learned about Deedee and her story. Once we found out that Teresa is actually Deedee, we learn more about Teresa. We took everything we knew about Deedee and added it to everything we already knew about Teresa. This adds a lot to Teresa's character. I will add more on this later

We really only know that she and Thomas worked together and helped build the maze. After reading this line of dialogue, we learn a lot about Teresa's life before the maze. This is because throughout the book we have learned a lot about Deedee. Once we found out that Teresa was Deedee, readers can apply all their knowledge of Deedee and add it to their knowledge of Teresa.
