Thanks, Camille! I usually seem well-organized at the beginning of the year but as things go on everything unravels quickly like a ball of yarn xD. Hoping this won't be the case this year!

Bouchra Rebiai (bouchrarebiai) | 86 comments Wow. As usual, life unraveled and I lost track of books and reading. I've lately realized that I have to take back control of my life, otherwise I'll end up being miserable, so here I am, coming back to books. I'm going to put a plan, and make time for reading, just as I 'make time' for TV and movies. While I may learn a thing or two from them, it is only books and reading that helps me implement what I learn, most of the time.

Yes, I have had occasions in which I used a technique or two I saw in a movie or TV show, but I've lately realized that I'm wasting too much of my precious time on themes that seem to be repeating from TV show to another. While I'm not going to completely eliminate them from my life, I'm making a conscious decision to CUT BACK (caps are for me, not shouting at you guys :) ) on them. No more excuses, no more not reading because 'I have no time' or 'I don't know how the day finished so quickly'.

I also have started a Happiness Project, beginning 1st June, and the first month's theme is mindfulness. I'm going to watch my thoughts, actions, and decisions, on a daily basis, and try to find the root of all of my problems, so I can tackle it head-on. Enough of this living 'someone else's vision for my life'. I'm an adult now, it's time I took charge of this existence of mine and redirected it onto the path I want it to be on.

*rant over*

I'll be posting an elaborate plan for the rest of June below. I'm committing to a couple of book club reads (various places online) as well as a monthly book related to the Happiness Project theme and the Bookopoly game.

Let's do this!!!
