I personally think this book was pretty good for a YA dystopian novel. I think I about tie it with The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games was written better, but I seriously hated Katniss by the third book. What are your thoughts on The Maze Runner as a YA dystopian novel? How does the whole trilogy compare?

It could make it in that category because of how they run the place and keep control of everyone. I think it would be a good YA dystopian novel. It didn't remind me of the Hunger Games, though.

Yes, I agree it didn't remind me of The Hunger Games; I brought up THG because I was just saying how I compare it to other novels.
What did you guys think of the overall trilogy as compare to other YA dystopian novels?
The Darkest Minds, Divergent, The Selection, Shatter Me > The Maze Runner. The Hunger Games, Matched, Angelfall < The Maze Runner
Might I ask, what is "your language"? And yes, I'm the same, I don't read much Dystopian YA books...I haven't even read Divergent! I just wish a lot YA and Teen books were more "clean" like TMR. Cause sexual content and such really limit my selections. xD
This book (and the others in the series) is absolutely 100% the best dystopian YA I have ever in my life read.Everything about this book is amazing - the way its written, the many and awesome characters, the plot, the whole thing - its just fantastic. I rate this above THG no problem.
Actually, TMR is my favourite book (and series) ever. More than TFIOS and this other really amazing trilogy The Knife of Never Letting Go (seriously, read it, it's also amazing).
Maze Runner fan for life <3

Oh, okay cool. Do you by any chance like the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series then?
That's EXACTLY why I couldn't stand Mockingjay. In the first book I didn't mind it, thought it was interesting, by the second book, I could already sense the soap opera-ness coming, and by Mockingjay I couldn't stand Katniss anymore. I liked Finnick and Annie a million times better than the Katniss love triangle.
I did not like TMR. At. All.
I won't be reading the other books. But I might see the movie.
To clarify, I really liked it until the end. I hated that it left you hanging with no conclusion, especially when you think there will be some resolution.
I liked the THG trilogy best. Then Divergent.
Haven't read Percy Jackson and don't plan to.
Hahahaha, I freaking LOVE the PJ and HoO series! <3 @Lisat: I actually enjoyed the ending very much in TMR. lol. You should read the Scorch Trials and Death Cure they are absolutely awesome! :) And....you DON'T want to read the Percy Jackson series!? :O I do admit I thought the whole Greek mythology in modern times thing was stupid and weird, but after I read the books.....my gosh, they were amazing. You should definitely read them....oh, and beware a cliffhanger at the ending of every book xD
Riordan truly has a gift with making suspenseful cliffhangers! It's like, a love them, but I hate them at the same time.
