She paused, slightly worried. "I do... Don't I. I could stop, if you'd like."

message 202: by [deleted user] (new)

"Why would I want you to stop?" he asked teasingly.

"You don't want me to stop?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. Almost... Challenging him.

message 204: by [deleted user] (new)

"Nope." he shook his head. "I wonder if I let you be like this, you'll start calling me 'Pete' or... 'Dude' in few days. That would be interesting." he smirked, raising an eyebrow.

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
"Pete? Dude?" She wrinkled her nose. "No, not going to happen."

message 206: by [deleted user] (new)

"Alright, suit yourself." he chuckled. "Honestly, I'm glad you decide to call me Peter." he told Audrey. "Just Peter."

message 207: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
"Just Peter?" She asked. "You're sure you don't want me to calm you Your Royal Highness Prince Peter of Illea?" She was teasing, now. Before, she'd been slightly worried, but now she was just teasing.

message 208: by [deleted user] (new)

"No." he leaned closer to her. "First, that is a long and inefficient way to call someone. Second," he paused. "I feel that it what brought us apart. Calling each other 'Prince' or 'Lady', it feels like we're building a wall between our friendship. I don't know, it's just... If you call me so formally, I feel like even you're standing right in front of me, you're...out of my reach." he said hesitatedly. "And I feel the same when I called you so formally, like I'm taking a step away from you. I mean, that is not how a friendship works, right?"

message 209: by [deleted user] (new)

((Darlimg, don't rush. xD))

She nodded. "I agree... It feels more stiff and formal when we formalize the names. And I must admit that I haven't been in many friendships before... But I don't believe they should be like when we were being formal. That felt wrong."

message 212: by [deleted user] (new)

"Good point." he said. "Friendship is not about status. That's why I trust you with just my name, just Peter." Peter smiled softly. "Do you trust me with just Audrey?"

message 213: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
She paused, then nodded. "Yes. Of course."

message 214: by [deleted user] (new)

"Thank you." he said. "That means a lot to me."

message 215: by [deleted user] (new)

((I know, it's killing me too!!! Ugh, Peter!!! Be a man and make yout first move!!))

message 216: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
"Me too," she nodded, smiling.

((Me toooo D:
You can't rush things with these two, though... They aren't quite as wacko as wecho xD))

message 217: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm glad you're here, you know." Peter smiled. "I really need someone I can talk to about that... thing. I'm not even telling my family yet."

message 218: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
"Thanks, Peter... It helps to talk about it, doesn't it?" She was slightly surprised he hadn't to his family, but he could do what he wanted she supposed.

message 219: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yeah," he muttered. "It feels so much better now."

"Well, it's better than keeping it bottled in, from what I've seen."

message 221: by Δ|вσω (new)

Δ|вσω | 2392 comments The sound of Cecily's pitch black, low-to-ground, heels clanked against the floor as she walked into the library. Books lined the wall and a fire place was flickering with sparks. Lately, she didn't have much relaxing to do and she thought about sitting down to read a book but thought against it. With a duster in hand she went over to a window seal and began to dust it.

message 222: by Δ|вσω (new)

Δ|вσω | 2392 comments Cecily continued to dust until the window seal was perfectly clean. She spotted a familiar face. A smile crossed her face as she rounded the corner of a bookshelf. It was just June. " Hello, June." She spat out, kind of confused. What was June doing here, looking at books?

message 223: by Δ|вσω (new)

Δ|вσω | 2392 comments " How are you?" Cecily asked. She fiddled with the duster in her hand and looked around at the grand library.

message 224: by Δ|вσω (new)

Δ|вσω | 2392 comments " Great and that won't last long." Cecily said bluntly. She brushed her hand slightly against the covers of books. Her favorite book was a classic which she kept in her room, stolen from the library.

message 225: by Δ|вσω (new)

Δ|вσω | 2392 comments " I bet less. All these royals are very...needy." Cecily said in a whisper so no one would hear. She picked a book off the shelf and brushed off some dust so she could see the cover. A girl in a garden sitting on a wooden swing that had 2 ropes tied to a thick branch of a tree sat on the cover. The title was so faded that she couldn't make out what it was called but it looked fine. She stuffed it in her pocket before saying, " Do you like reading?"

message 226: by Δ|вσω (new)

Δ|вσω | 2392 comments " Same here." Cecily said over a smile. She wasn't very open to people she didn't know but she knew June well enough to have a nice conversation with her. Soon, she would have to be off to make a new gown for the Queen but that could wait for a little bit. Another book found place in her pocket too. Two books would last her about a week. In between work she planned on reading the books then whenever she finished return them. But, there is one book she didn't plan on ever returning, her favorite one. " Do you like your Selected girl? Or are you a maid for a royal now a day?"

message 227: by Δ|вσω (new)

Δ|вσω | 2392 comments Cecily giggled over a set of dazzling smiles.
" I just got promoted. Now I am the Queens maid. Specking of the Queen I've got to make a dress for her. I guess that can wait though. I'm glad to here you have such a nice girl. Legend has it that some Selected hurt there maids. They say you could hear there screams and yelling." She said wickedly. " Anyway, I should get going I guess. Don't want to keep my Queen waiting." With that she curtsied and went off to make the dress.

message 228: by [deleted user] (new)

As they arrived at the library, Peter opened the door and let Audrey walked in first.

message 229: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
She walked in, carrying her slightly less tall stack of books, and set it down on a table.

message 230: by [deleted user] (new)

"So, what do you want to read next?" he asked.

message 231: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
"I'm not quite sure... Typically, I've been coming in here and choosing random books off the shelves to see if I like them."

message 232: by [deleted user] (new)

"Have you ever pick a random book, thought that you will like it, but turned out that you hate it?"

message 233: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
She nodded. "Definitely. It happens all the time. I try to read to the end, though, to see if there's anything I can salvage from it..."

((OMG my notification messed up big time. Sorry!!!))

"I can relate to that." he nodded in agreement. "Okay, so I was here earlier and suprisingly, didn't quite find anything that I want to read. Do you have any suggestion for me?"

message 237: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
"Hm..." She thought for a moment, chewing her lip. "Well. What have you read before?" She asked. "Ender's Game, obviously..."

message 238: by [deleted user] (new)

"No I haven't. I actually I just randomly pick a book, claimed that I've read it to impress girls." he said teasingly.

message 239: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
((It's cool :) Happens all the time))

She rolled her eyes. "Mmhm." Distractedly, she looked around the room, scanning the spines of the books.

message 240: by [deleted user] (new)

Peter waited patiently for Audrey to choosed something.

message 241: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
She chewed on her lip thoughtfully. "Have you read any Shakespeare?"

message 242: by [deleted user] (new)

"Shakespeare, huh? Well, I think I've read Hamlet, but that's all."

message 243: by mels, awkwardice queen (new)

mels (padmeskywalkers) | 3968 comments Mod
"Hamlet, hm?" She asked. "You should try... Midsummer Night's Dream. Or Romeo and Juliet. Two of his more famous works, I suppose..."

((Wouldn't it be so awkward if Peter and Audrey were still here? XD))

message 250: by [deleted user] (new)

Peter was staring at Audrey while she was talking, but he was slightly out of his head. "I'm sorry, what?" he blinked, as he gained back his full consciousness. "I mean, I'm listening, but it’s just... I've had something on my mind I couldn't quite shake off."
