For a week now she has been ignoring William and Echo. She was mad at them. Louise felt as if William used her to get accepted in the family then crush her to pieces.

William stared at her. He stood slowly. "Self centered?" That hurt like a bullet through the heart. "Self centered? When in my life have I ever been self centered, Louise? What can possibly give you the idea that I have been self centered recently?" He was clearly upset. This really was not a good time for this sort of thing. Louise really should be careful what she said. While William was forgiving, he never forgot. He was fragile already as it was.

" Yes, self centered. You used me for your own little games. To be accepted here then crushed me for Echo. You'd get banished for her and never see me again. I'd never be able to live again. You know that too. Don't think I am so dumb to see that you didn't use me to get a ranking here then throw me away. I'm that old stuffed animal no one wants anymore so you throw it away and get a new one. Before ya know it that one will get old and then you'll get another new one." Louise challenged. ". Don't tell me it isn't true because I've seen it with y own 2 eyes. Seeing my cousin kissing my brothers potential wife. How would you feel? Sooner or later I will have to tell someone then all because of stupid Echo you'll get banished or killed." Tears filled her eyes as she said these words but she meant them. She really did.

William's lovely mouth had fallen open just a tiny bit. He turned away, squeezing his eyes shut. He couldn't believe she would talk to him like that.... She had never hurt him before as much as she was hurting him now. "Louise, if you knew me at all, you'd know I'd never use anyone. If you were to me what you claim you are, would I be permanently injured thanks to the search I lead for you?" He turned to face her, his expression stony. "You should keep yourself quiet, Louise. You're nothing but a silly girl. You should have nothing, nothing to complain about. You have a family that loves you, that truly loves you. You belong here, with the rest of them. And me? I have no family! I have nothing! All I have is a lie and pity and people making me believe they care about me. I never thought you'd be one of them." He turned away from her again, clenching and unclenching his fist. "Falling in love is not something I planned or could control. But it happened and I can't make it go away. I love Echo, and I won't let you and your stupid whining put her into more danger than she already is in now." He gripped his cane tightly, his bangs casting a shadow over his eyes. "I won't let anyone take the only part in my life that is in fact, real. I thought I would be having two firm points in the fog that is my miserable existence, but no. You're a bluff too. You don't care about me, or anyone but yourself. If that weren't true you would listen to me. Just because I love someone else doesn't mean I love you any less, you stupid, stupid girl! You're my sister! It's an entirely different kind of love. What happened to my heart was it swelled so your space in it was not replaced. I simply created an equal amount of space for someone else. And that space never will be taken from you, even if I am a fool for keeping it that way...."

" You know what maybe I wouldn't know. I wouldn't know how it would be to have a loving family. First of all my mother is in utter disgust with my, Phillip well he never really liked me anyway, father never talks to me, and you well you are you. You are taking away from my brother. What if he falls in love with her, which is possible. They came here for him, not for you. Echo isn't yours to love. She is Phillips. This isn't right what you are doing. And I'm way more than a silly girl. You are just acting like a dumb boy. A dumb boy who is falling in love with a girl that is meant for my brother. I understand that you hate me. Maybe that feelings is mutual. I don't know, it might be." Louise snapped. Then her heels clanked against the floor again but not before saying, " I do have things to complain about. Maybe if it weren't for you I wouldn't. And go ahead let Echo take my place in your heart, okay. Cause I sure don't want it." With that she left with tears dribbling down her eyes. She was in disgust with William's illegal act. He was taking away from Phillip and Echo. Echo won't love Phillip freely because she feels stuck to William, which is wrong. Phillip doesn't no about Williams illegal act which is wrong, too. That dumb boy was the only word that flew threw her head as she walked out of the room and closed the door behind her, leaving a loud bang.

William sank into a chair slowly, burying his face in his hands. He couldn't believe he was being hated by the most important person in his life for something he couldn't control. Did she think he didn't know it was wrong? Of course it was wrong. He knew that. But he couldn't control it. Letting Echo go would mean hurting her, he was sure. He was sure he meant something to her as well to have her kiss him and want to find a way to survive together if at all.... He didn't know what to do. He had to talk to Echo about this... BUt either way, Louise hadn't done anything good there for William. She had taken the only hope he had at all. He was brought out of purpose again, lost someone he loved again. Only so much could a man take before breaking.

After the conversation with his family, Peter didn't came back to his room, instead he went to the library. It was useless anyway, he couldn't sleep there. Reading might help him to be able to get some sleep, if it wasn't then at least it could clear his mind and killing his time.

Audrey opened the door quietly, trying not to creak. Peter had told her she was free to come in here whenever she wanted, but every time she came in, she felt like a guard was going to yell at her, or something... And even if she was allowed in here, she wasn't sure if it extended to this late at night.

The sound of the door creaked open was a little bit louder, breaking the silence at the library. Even the slightest sound could be easily heard. He turned his head a little bit to the source of the sound. "Miss Audrey?" he called.

She looked over to the sound of the voice. "Peter?" She asked cautiously, slightly surprised. She hadn't expected him to be in here this late.

"What are you doing this late, Miss?" he asked worriedly. "Is eerything alright?"

"I could ask you the same thing," she smiled slightly as she made her way toward him. "And I'm fine... Just haven't been sleeping the best since I got here, I suppose."

"Sometimes I stay here all night, until morning." he explained. "Really? You don't like your room, then? Or the bed is not comfortable? You know you can just ask the maids to make few adjustments if you want." he said.

She nodded. "It is fairly calming, in here... And no, the bed is fine. I don't know what it is, really. It's just taken me hours every night to fall asleep."

"Probably homesick," he shrugged slightly. "Do you miss home, Miss Audrey? Your own room, maybe?"

She nodded. "Thanks." She sat down across from him, like they'd say when they'd first met.

"No problem." he smiled. "I can't sleep either." Peter told her. "Well, I could, I just didn't want to."

"No problem." he smiled. "I can't sleep either." Peter told her. "Well, I could, I just didn't want to."

She nodded. "How come? If that isn't too personal, that is..."

"No, it's okay." he smiled and shook his head. "It's just... I'm still thinking about that day, when rebel attacked the palace and I--" Killed someone, he couldn't say. "If I close my eyes, I see it again, you know. Like a bad, old movie."

"Peter... People die all the time. It's a fact of life. And it would've been you if you hadn't pulled that trigger. It could've been me."

[mels, awkwardice queen]

"I know, Peter... I know. But he knew that it was dangerous when he came here. He knew that there was a chance he could die. You don't break into the palace and fully expect to get out alive."

"I know." he sighed. "But I saw that man's eyes was staring at me when I pulled the trigger. It still haunts me, I think. I'm starting to accept the fact that it was a self defense, and it wasn't my fault. But you know, you can't just forget something like that."

She shook her head. "I... I don't know. It seems foolish to risk your life just to make a statement."

"People do crazy things to fight for what they believe," Peter said. "I just never thought this crazy." he laughed dryly. "In other hand, I kind of admire their bravery, you know."

She nodded slowly. "Yes, their bravery to enter the palace is white commendable... However it takes no bravery to set fire to homes with people still inside, or stab hen in their sleep. That is cowardice."

"You have the point, Miss." he laughed. "But hey, nobody’s perfect, am I right?"

"No, I suppose not," she smiled in return.

Peter smiled at her. It was somehow helping, to talk about it with someone. His family seemed to realized already that something was wrong with him. By that, it meant Queen and Phillip, Louise probably won't give a damn about him anyway. As much as he wanted to talk to them, it seemed pointless; they weren't there, they did not know what happened. Honestly, the only person he could talk to was Adurey, because she witnessed it. It was selfish, thou, she might be traumatized enough without Peter brought the conversation back, but he realized, if he had to get through this alone, he might just lost his mind.
Then, Peter realized something.
"You call me 'Peter'," he said with a smile. "And not just once, since I left you at the front door of your room, I just realized that."
