(( Okay, she responded. ))William stepped in quietly into the library, looking around for his cousin carefully, soon catching sight of her. He darted over, quiet as a shadow. "My apologies, dear sister of mine," he sighed. "I had to say goodnight to the girls and make sure no one followed."
"Why would I? All they wanted to do was get me dirty, as did you. I cannot hate them for something as silly as that. They're all very lucky. We both know how lucky Philip is to have them," said he, plopping himself down on a comfy chair with a soft sigh.
" If you do remember correctly whenever I asked you about the Selection you simply said you hated it. So there for I inferred you hated the people in it, too? And yes, Phillip is lucky to have them. Very lucky," Louise asked confused.
William just smirked. "Dear sister, I don't hate the people. I hate the idea. I don't think it's fair for 34 girls to have mostly wasted their time, have their hearts broken," he explained. "How could I hate the girls without having them met them all? And so far the ones I've met I've particularly liked. They're wonderful."
(( If I like stop Roleplaying our of the blue either I just forgot to answer or I fell asleep. So you've been warned!! ))
William was confused. "Uh..." That was a strange way to change the subject. "What about Echo?" He tilted his head slightly, intrigued. He apparently had no idea what she was exactly asking of him. She would have to be more specific. (( Goodness, people. It's not really allowed for that to happen. You hold your horses, crazy people. XD ))
(( LOL ))" I mean she is like a friend. Echo, I mean. Anyway," Louise said trying to change the subject. " I actually had fun with you today. What a dirty mess you were! "
William was a little confused, but he decided not to pursue the subject any longer. "Ignoring the entirely illogical interruption," he began, messing with her a bit, "I didn't particularly enjoy that part of the day, thank you very much. Being around you was enjoyable, though you getting me dirty was not."
". That was the best part,". Louise joked. " I was about to burst out in laughter whenever I saw you all muddy and messy. So out of character for you. How in the world did you get so muddy today?" She always loved to tease William.
"My lunatic sister hugged me while looking like a little piggy, entirely covered in mud," William replied, picking at the armchair his hand rested on. "Now, what is it you wanted to talk about?" he asked her, finally looking up, enchanting blue eyes fixed on hers with palpable curiously.
"Truthfully, I just wanted to be with you alone for a minute or two." Louise replied. She was drinking warm tea and it was nearly burning her hands. " You know, your sister sounds pretty cool. I mean if she got the nerve to get muddy and her brother doesn't that means something." She smiled at him as she continued to tease.
((I am not stalking. This is library, why would i stalk anyone in library? Probably Peter is stalking right now but definitely not me.))
William just shook his head at her. "You're a strange girl, you know that? Now really. There must have been something you seriously wanted to talk about. Meeting this late at the library is a big overboard. If you wanted to talk private just because you would have normally asked to go on a walk with me. It's the way we've always done it," he told her, inspecting her expression. "Now, what is it really?"
" I am. It in the mood to talk about what I want to talk about," Louise replied. She set down her tea because it burned away at her hands. She didn't make a big fuss about it but still got a maid to bring her ice.
William buried his face in one hand. "Goodness, Louise. I don't mean to sound rude, but it's rather late, and seeing as I don't have any work to do tonight, I'd very much like to get to bed... If there's nothing very important you have to tell me, then I think it best for us to call it a night... And please do not take this the wrong way. You simply had me very worried..." he murmured.
" There will be a time when I do tell you but right now I am really just to tired." Louise told him. ". But, that doesn't mean I won't tell you. Just, I have to be in the mood." Louise was getting tired and her eyes were fluttering shut.
(( Have to go! Let's just put this on pause and resume later! Bye for now. Can't wait to finish this! ))
(( Okay. ^^ ))William looked over her carefully. "Can you at least tell me in what sort of mood you have to be? This is all very confusing, and you know how well I treat confusion," he told her, letting sarcasm slip deep into his voice.
(( Alright! ))" The kind of mood?" Louise asked herself. Her eyes started to shut put then they would open at the sound of William's voice. Truthfully, she was very tired. " I don't know. Just not this mood. " She yawned and stretched out her arms. " Why'd you stick around today? At the mud sledding, I mean?"
William decided to drop the subject. Begging for her to tell him what she was meaning to tell him was not going to get him anywhere. "Because one of you could have gotten hurt, and I hoped to be of assistance if such a thing happened. Besides, rebels could have targeted you easily out there. I had to stay close for your benefit."
" Yes, but don't you think there are guards there?" Louise asked questionably. " Anyway," She yawned. " How was your day?" She was leaning against a plush pillow and she was cold. Having only a knee length black dress wouldn't help the fact. Her eyes would blinked shut then fly open. She sure was tired.
"I still worried for you. Let a man worry for some probable friends and a sister, yes?" William sat up a little straighter, closing his eyes and resting his head lightly back against the seat. "As for today, it was messy and a tad bit embarrassing. What else would it be with a lovely attack from my muddy sister?"
" Being messy is never embarrassing. It is human." Louise replied as she picked at her nails. " I do hope we can do that again sometime. The mud sledding, I mean. Or really anything. Maybe next time you will have the guts to have a little fun." She smiled at him and then changed her gaze to the burning tea that wasn't as hot now. The cup was warm but not burning so she picked it up and had a sip.
William shook his head yet again, weakly. "Louise, you've known me since we were children, and we've been together for ages. How is it you don't yet understand that being clean and looking nice is fun for me? Getting filthy isn't. It's not how I work, not my sort of thing..." He looked up then, looking exhausted too. "Fun for me is peace and quiet, playing something on the lovely piano, drawing under the sunlight, painting by moonlight, and writing by candlelight... Not jumping around and exercising anything but the arts and my mind, dear sister."
" But don't you remember," Louise asked sincerely. " Whenever we were kids we would go out into the snow in our heavy snow outfits and get all wet and throw snowballs at each other. What about whenever we'd go outside during muddy days, like today, and do just what I did earlier today. What happened to the playful fun William that use to do all those things?" She looked at him in the eye. " What happened?"
William shrugged. "I suppose I grew up, came to terms with my inner, as some people say, lame-o. Do give me time. Maybe one day I'll drink enough alcohol and do what you want me to do. Eventually." He really didn't know what happened to him either. He turned into an opposite of what he used to be.
" Yes, maybe one day. Maybe, I will grow up one day. I hope I don't." Louise said looking sad and desperate. She didn't know why though. " Oh, do you want to help us with something?"
William stood slowly, stretching. "It depends on what exactly I could help you with," he told her, which was basically a "yes". "Tell me about it," he sighed, leaning back against a book case.
Louise stayed leaning on her couch. " Well, Alia, Echo, me and some others want to make an annual Staff Appreciation Day. Like to honor the staff. We were wondering if you wanted to help, too?" Louise got up and stood next to the fireplace for a while. Her back was to William and she was staring at the portrait of her family. Phillip, the Queen, the King, Peter, and William along with her made up the canvas. Phillip was holding the Queen's hand. The King was in the middle. Peter was holding Phillip's other hand and William and Louise were next to each other on the right. She smiled at that.
William smiled brightly then, seeming to wake up a tiny bit more. "That sounds like a grand idea. Really. What could I help you with, though?" William could do a lot, but when it came to this he would probably be best in charge of the music for their little party.
Louise went through a list of things in her mind. " Maybe you could help me set up some fine dining?" Louise said. " Or maybe a ball? That would be great!"
William tapped his chin, thinking it through. "What sort of celebration are you planning on having? If I know for sure then I would be of greater help, naturally," he told her, tilting his head from side to side as he thought, which he did often.
(( Nope. ))" Well, I guess I should get my beauty sleep." Louise said as she stood up. " Good night, William." With that she left the room but not before hugging him goodbye. And off she went to her room.
Will in watched her go, smiling a little bit. He followed soon, walking in a different direction, closing the door behind him silently. He was exhausted. He would be meeting up with Echo later on in the next day, so he had something to look forward to.
William stepped into the library, the only sound coming from him being the tapping of a brand nee cane that was helping him get along. Most people would hate having to use a cane, like an old person. But William didn't see it as a disability. He saw it as a new way of fashion. A cane represented sophistication, an air of power and authority. And they were good for hitting people on the head and tapping them on the ground to make points. So there he was, wearing his uniform as always, blood-free. His wounds were still healing and he walked slowly, and despite how anyone in his position would be walking like a cripple, he walked lightly, back straight, head held high, expression mighty and strong, serious, like a prince should be, even though that he was not... He sat himself down in a corner with a sigh, resting his cane against the side of the seat. And now to wait for his hostile sister...
Louise was sitting near the fire place in a beautiful blue fitted gown with dramatic straps. Her long hair was flowing down her back and she was reading a novel. Then she saw William. She stood up to leave letting her heels clank against the floor of the library as she went to put her novel away.
William noticed she was already there, blinking. Well.... She looked like she was leaving, not like she was ready to put down whatever she was doing to converse with him. "I thought you wanted to meet with me," William spoke up. He wasn't in the best of moods. He had been entirely alone in the hospital for a week after Echo had visited him. He had asked her to stay away for a while, and despite the fact that this was for her own safety, it was horrible. Louise seemed to be hating on him, so she left him to rot all alone in that room, and sadly none of the other royals had come to check up on him. He tried not to think about how he felt about that. And it wasn't a good feeling. He had never felt comfortable or like he belonged in the palace, and now tha tonly perso that made it better, Louise, hated him. He was miserable.
