ABANDONED. children's book, picture or easy reader, two brothers, imaginative adventures, Wyatt and Wayney???

Hi everyone!
I'm a librarian posting to solve a mystery for a woman who came into the library this evening.
She is looking for a series of books that her son read probably 15-20 years ago. It was either a picture book series or easy reader (there were pictures). It was about two brothers who had a lot of imaginative adventures. Their names may have been something like Wyatt and Wayney? The younger brother whined a lot and was called something like "Whiny Wayney." He was possibly pictured in a saggy diaper.
